Well.....to put it nicely.....it was not good!
After receiving an email from the HHI outlets stating if I "liked" the HHI Outlets on Facebook and if I took a reciept showing I spent over $50.00 to shopper services I would be given a $10.00 dollar gift card.
My family and I have been going to the HHI outlets for at least the last 15 years. Our annual average purchases amount to roughly $200 to $300 dollars. Take that times just 15 and you have $3000.00 dollars. Which my wife tells me is being conservative.....she informed me that we spent roughly $700 dollars yesterday.
So we go shopping yesterday and quickly are over the 50 bucks required to get the $10.00 gift card. So I head to shoppers services. I did notice signs at the outlet every 10 feet telling shoppers about the wonderful Facebook gift card offer. So obviously this is for EVERYONE, not just folks on their e-mail like I thought. I get my gift card from an older white lady with a liitle bit of issue. She appeared to act like no one showed her how to issue the gift cards. Then my son's girlfriend who lives away at college away from her family and has a job and spends her own money is treated like she is a 13 little girl....asking way too may senseless questions. So at this point, my son decided the 10 bucks was not worth the hassle! Both stated the lady was extremely rude. So we continue spending our money at the outlets and move on to the one farther away from the island. I tell my son (who attends college away from his parents and has his own job/money) to go the shopper services at this location and see if he can get the gift card without hassle. He quickly returns with the gift card and states the person was pleasant.
Ok.....so in summery, let's review. One family at $3000.00 minus the 30 bucks in gift cards equals $2970. Add that to the 2-3 thousand families that shopped YESTERDAY and that ain't too bad of a loss to Tanger to get people to shop more.....which we did after being treated poorly. So be careful how you market promotions and advise your employees on how to handle the offer so they don't come across looking like goofballs and possibly scaring customers away.
Hopefully Tanger HHI can clean this problem up or end...
Read moreTanger in general, is great! But, oh. my. stars... the North Face store was ridiculous! Rinat was the only person working in the store. He was ringing someone up and my sister just wanted to get in the dressing room to try on stuff. She was about to purchase hundreds of $ worth of stuff for a ski trip. Rinat told her to wait each time she asked for the key. (By the way, the dressing room was right there and he could see it so it's not like she could have escaped with the key). The customer being serviced by him at the register even said, "just let her in real quick." He ignored the customer and kept on ringing up. My sister put her stuff down and left. My son was in line to get his backpack and when Rinat got done with the customer he was checking out, then my son was next in line. Remember, my sister had already left. Rinat then left the register to GO OPEN THE DRESSING ROOM even though he saw and knew my sister left and didn't need it anymore. What?? Then he came back and started ringing up my son and said, "did anyone help you today?" My son just stared at him and I finally said, "Um, aren't you the only one in here?" Rinat said yes. So I said so you know that no one helped him today. No reaction. No smile, No nothing. So odd to me. Definitely needed more than one worker in there and definitely needed someone with some customer service experience!!! I'm thinking they lost a few hundred $ worth of...
Read moreI have shopped here for over three years. It is a good place to find a decent bargain. You just have to shop around and not buy on impulse. That is what I have learned over the years. What I have noticed is that the best places to go to find great deals for men are Saks, Sketchers, Nike, and Wilson Leather. There is a lot of good stuff there.
The other stores do not have the killer deals that I desire. Ralph Lauren and J Crew are awesome stores, but the deals are not great unless you go during key moments of the shopping season.
Let me state that this is not an outlet to me. You are just smart enough not to pay the prices the rich people will in New York and other ritzy areas of the country. If a shirt was ninety dollars and is now selling for twenty dollars means it was overpriced to begin with.
As far as the eateries go, they are all decent places to have a bite to eat. Every once in awhile Zoe's Kitchen's service is lacking, but the other places are...
