I've loved how my hair has looked each time I've come here, but unfortunately have to echo the same as others about timing. Today I used my lunch hour for work to get a blowout and after waiting 20 minutes over my appointment time I had to let them know I needed to leave. This has happened previously as well, but I had waited because I had the time. Could also use someone consistently greeting at the front desk...you usually stand there awkwardly until someone appears from the back room or a stylist talks to you (over the sound of their hair dryer). Sad because I like it here but I'll have to book elsewhere from now on.
Wanted to add I was charged a late cancel fee. I have called and left multiple voicemails and sent the location specific instagram account several messages (even responding to a story looking for models for free..) and have received no response. Guess I have to show up there to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to this location twice now and both times they have run wildly behind schedule. This most recent time I went in for a 9AM appointment so they had only been open for an hour and yet somehow, ran 45 minutes late for my appointment. I was extremely close to walking out as I had another appointment after this which I ended up running late to. It was a really stressful experience and by the time I got into the chair for my blow dry to start, the girl had to rush through. I would have liked to enjoy this experience and gotten curls and more styling but that was not an option. I think the real kicker for me was the fact that no one even checked in with me to apologize for the delay, offer a water, acknowledge my existence nearly the entire time I waited. Needless to say, this was a disappointing and stressful experience when itās supposed to be a treat to enjoy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a frequent client at DryBar for years when I lived in DC and Boston. Every appointment took 45 minutes or less and I would leave feeling like a movie star. You can imagine my excitement when a shop opened near me in the suburbs! I signed up for a 6-month Barfly āfounderā membership to lock in an extra discount. Sadly, after several visits to the Derby Street location in Hingham, I have only been really impressed once⦠Every appointment has started 10-20 minutes late and my time in the chair is closer to or longer than an hour! Given my disappointment, I have no plans to extend my membership and will probably book future blow-outs with my regular stylist. Itās too bad, because I used to love this brand. I will continue to purchase DryBar products, but the level of service has fallen far below what...
