Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery — Restaurant in Hingham

Everything looked beautiful and the service was very nice, so I feel bad leaving this review. But I actually have never been in a bakery or had a desert that I really didn’t like. I had a molasses cookie that was so dry with zero taste. I love molasses cookies. Even if they are as hard as a rock because I love the taste. But this had nothing and was so dry it almost fell into a pile of crumbs.

My son had a red velvet cupcake that had a cream cheese frosting center that tasted more like cream cheese than frosting. And the red velvet was equally dry and flavorless.

He also had a chocolate cake pop that was underwhelming but he ate it.

We both threw out our $12 worth of deserts. (Except the cake pop because it was so small he didn’t realize it was just meh until it was gone)

Overcooked. Overpriced. Empty. We walked in and the cases were empty and messy. I figured they’d be full… since it’s morning. Which means they don’t make things in-house and they did not prep for the day. I asked if they bake daily and was told they ship everything from NY but they make the pastries day of. I highly doubt that’s true based on the look of everything. I’m shocked at how bad this is. I was really looking forward to this opening, but I do not see it lasting at all. Cinnamon roll is inedible. It was hard as a rock and overcooked. The cake is dry. We had to ask what kind of cakes and pastries were because their little signs were knocked over or covered up. What a waste of a location. This isn’t worth a try honestly. I’m appalled at how much I paid for such bad quality. I almost turned around when I saw the appearance of everything and...

They use seridipitea which is once of my favorite tea brands!!!! I love the strawberry tea! They also have an extensive selection of treats and fill the void of a coffee shop on this area.

Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Decent selection of treats. Fully accessible (no stairs).

My ONE complaint is that the tables and benches are super tiny. I have a medical condition, and I chose not to stay and eat because I wasn’t sure I could safely lower myself onto the bench and back up again. They look like children’s picnic tables.
