Two Twenty-Three — Local services in Hoboken

DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER THROUGH THIS SHOP! I placed an online order from out of state after finding a pair of pants I liked on their website. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t to my liking, so I requested a return. Unlike most retailers, they require you to email to initiate a return—there’s no automated process. I emailed them and didn’t hear back, so I followed up. Eventually, I received a response—but no return label. I replied again asking for the label and had to follow up again before finally receiving it. After returning the item, I tracked it and saw that it had been delivered. I waited, but no refund came through. I emailed again to ask about the refund—no response. On my second follow-up, I received this reply: “I have been trying to figure all of this out. My bank confirmed the monies were refunded. Can you contact your bank and see if there is a pending transaction? I am not sure what has happened with the delay.” I checked with my bank—there was no pending refund—and I let the store know. Since then, I’ve followed up three more times and received no response. This has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I’ve never had an issue like this with any other store. I’m now disputing the charge through my credit...
