Shipyard Marina — Attraction in Hoboken

Couldn’t get in touch with phone number given on the information page—went straight to voice mail many times-no return calls because voice mail was full. Ended up booking through Dockwa, got a confirmation back via email. Tried to radio contact them 6-7 times from the river when we arrived. Finally answered, but poor quality radio transmission. Asked 4 times if they were floating or fixed docks so the fenders could be set. No answer to the direct question. Arrived at transient dock, which was floating and the tie opposite to what was set. Scurried around. Dock personnel seemed to know the hitches, left us tied so the only way off was onto a rolling floating dock, with a gap between two sections connected with a flexible rubber mat 2 feet wide. No protection from the wakes of barge and ferry traffic. Electricity worked, there’s an outdoor bar on the main dock directly ahead of us, 45 feet away. It’s comes complete with canned music. This was a beautiful boat ride/tour around the Hudson River with beautiful New York and New Jersey Views, It was booked for my fifth wedding anniversary(October 25,2024). A quick overview: I was looking for a private boat cruise with a nice intimate vibe. (note the boat can be used for parties or groups as well) I called three days before booking and Adam Leitner answered , He was very accommodating in reference to scheduling and time(we booked from 7pm to 8pm).When we arrived ,day of, I parked directly across the street at the parking deck, visited Starbucks and visited the kiosk near the mini dog park ( he was at Pier 2) . We were greeted and escorted to the boat. We sailed on popeye(at first I didn't know what boat it was ) but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a great time !! (Note there isn't any food on the boat ride but you can BYOB or hordeuvers if you want)....

HORRIBLE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS IS NOT A MARINA. No amenities and it's the roughest "marina" you'll ever see. Terrible and nonexistent service: no security, no showers, no washing machines, no bathrooms, no fuel, no ship store, no boat ramp, no boat lift, no service department, no parking, no breakwater system, no ice, no ANYTHING. Don't believe them when they say they're installing a breakwater system. BAIT AND SWITCH, GO...
