Comicmania — Local services in Hockessin, Delaware

Went in last night after trying unsuccessfully to get my broken glasses fixed after a long day of work. I always try to stop by any LCS/LGS when I'm in town. So I walked in at night wearing a hoodie and a pair of prescription sunglasses. :-D

I went straight up to the lady at the register to let her know my deal, and she was super sweet and welcoming. She answered all my questions didn't mind me looking over all the great merchandise (They have an especially great wall of slabbed comics and sealed MtG boxes for very reasonable prices by the way!), despite me looking like more of a goofball than I normally do. :-)

Another guy was working the store at the same time and was great with helping me find some alt art comic covers.

I bought a bunch of comics and she even gave me a great deal on a sealed box of cards despite them being higher in cost online.

From what she said, the owners are 2nd generation, as her dad opened the store several years ago. It's nice to see stores good comic and game stores stay around.

Just a great experience overall. I look forward to visiting again when I'm in the area, and they are apparently starting a new Whatnot which I'll check out. Thanks...

This place is great! Great staff, great space and great selection of recent and current comic titles. a few great vintage "mint" titles for sale. There are back issues as well but the selection might be a bit limiting if you're hoping to hop on the comic time machine.They have a small selection of figures and collectables peppered in. If you like Funko Pop!, they do have a nice assortment of comic and graphic novel inspired characters. Also, a small selection of the recent and current Marvel Legends and DC Collectables action figure waves.

Definitely go support these guys. They have a little something for everybody and I always leave with a smile on my face....

Comicmania is always a welcoming atmosphere. From the first time stepping in as a kid back when they were in Newport to today. It's always great to stop in and see what new statues/figures/odd and ends they have while picking up my comics. Any time I'm looking for something specific, they're always willing to help me and even order/pre-order it for me when possible. The staff has never been anything but good to me.

I'm not a MTG player when it comes to TCGs but everytime I've talked to the players and watched, they've always been friendly and willing to explain what's going on to me. Seems like newbies would be very welcome...
