If I could leave 0 stars or less, I absolutely would. I want everyone to know how much of a HORRIBLE experience it has been dealing with this business and if given the opportunity, shop ANYWHERE else.
In August of 2020 my fiancé and I bought a mattress from here. First big purchase together and we were SO excited. The staff was helpful and nice; to say we were happy at first would be an understatement! Then, things took a turn for the worse. The mattress immediately started to sink, (literally within 2 weeks), so we called and someone was sent out to see if it needed to be replaced: it was deemed defective, so we were told we’d be getting a replacement.
We are very understanding that there were warehouse issues due to the pandemic. Things were on back order, so we were forced to wait longer than we would’ve wanted. (8 months to be exact). During this time, (in the beginning), I spent countless times calling (maybe twice a month) with little to no new information. Again, I kept my understanding- I’ve worked in jobs where there are literally issues out of the control of the workers, so I would never take this out on the staff. HOWEVER, I do hold them accountable for their lack of communication. I was told that I would be contacted and updated: I never was. It always took me having to call, leaving me feeling like a bother. FINALLY after MONTHS of horrible nights sleep, and not having called/been contacted in MONTHS, I called in April 2021 for an update. This is when they nonchalantly said, “oh yeah! We can get it to you within the next two weeks!” While I was finally excited to have a good nights sleep to look forward to, I have to be honest, I was extremely frustrated that it felt like they didn’t care that this issue needed to be resolved ASAP and they hadn’t communicated AT ALL.
Finally, the mattress comes in early May 2021. FINALLY. Except now, the delivery workers tossed the old mattress right on top of my laptop, completely cracking it and deeming it absolutely broken.
I can’t say it enough: MISTAKES HAPPEN. We’re all human. However: I’ve reached out to the staff, seeing if in light of my already frustrating experience and now damage to my property, there would be some type of reimbursement. Free mattress pad, money, ANYTHING. Once again, I was told I would be contacted, was even told to email photos!! (which I did immediately). Utter silence. No communication, no care in the world.
I’ve been to other businesses, asking them if this is how they conduct their business, explained the situation in length to others and I’ve been reassured that this is horrible business. This treatment is absolutely against everything this company apparently “strives for”.
Long story short, if you want an enjoyable experience: GO ANYWHERE ELSE. If you want to actually be cared for as a customer: GO ANYWHERE ELSE. If you want to be communicated with, effectively: GO...

I insisted on going to Home Budget Mattress because they specialize in mattresses. I expected the salesperson would be able to recommend the mattress best for us. I told him I needed a firm mattress or I have back problems and that I did not like memory foam. I layed on a mattress he recommended for 5-10 minutes. I questioned if this mattress would support my back. I was told this was new technology and would support my back while not put pressure on other areas. After sleeping on this mattress for 3 hours, I woke up with back spasms, which has never happened before. It was by far the worst mattress I ever slept on. When I return to the store, a different salesperson questioned why I purchased that mattress, it’s not supportive. I told him that was what was recommended by th eir salesperson. I had to pay $199 return fee to replace the mattress. Overall I payed three times the amount of the mattress at Furniture and More.

Read moreI was very pleased with the salesman,Earl and the delivery men, Ken & Robert were fantastic. The original box spring would not work up the stairs. Ken suggested getting the split Queen box spring instead. Called Home Center and they had in stock one that was delivered the same day and my new bed was set up for me. Wonderful. However after they left and I laid on the bed and bounced around I noticed some threading in various areas pulled away from the quilting pillow top. I called the sales man and he said to cut the threads and see how that works and that I had a 10 year warranty. I have purchased mattresses before and never noticed that happening on the same day of delivery without even sleeping on the bed! This story is not over. Will get this fixed but I will take my pictures and video to Earl and see what he says. Maybe the cheaper version is nit worth the savings from Serta brand. I gave 3 stars for the service not the mattress. It is comfortable but i am concerned about the threading coming...
