Absolutely amazing little locally owned business. The bearded dutchman is gallant, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Seems like many employees are family members. All very personable and so helpful. I am new to sourcing my meat from the butcher and I went to a few shops closer to where I live....absolutely no comparison in the quality of service, ambiance, quality of product and quality of staff. I was initially looking for ingredients for bone broth. After visiting two local butchers who didn't seem to understand what I was looking for (?), I called The Bearded Dutchman to save myself the trip if I was going to receive the same response. I left a voicemail on a Saturday morning and didn't expect a call back for a few days, which would have been reasonable. I received a call in less than 30 minutes from the Bearded Dutchman himself. Incredible service. And the product.......10 out of 10....slow clap....chef's kiss....I could go on and on. First it was bones, then fresh made brats (of which they have a wonderful variety available at all times) and beef...can't wait to try everything!! Stuffed Spinach & Feta Heaven. Ended up baking this wonderful chicken breast in a pan with olive oil, chopped garlic, and 1 piece of thick sliced bacon. Seasoned the top of the breast with kosher salt, pepper, and some other stuff. Just kept marinating the whole thing with the olive oil from the pan, as it baked, to keep it moist.
