The front end staff can be very rude ( whether your in person or over the phone ) when you ask them questions that concern your medical needs. Some of the doctors at South Family Medicine- do not treat their patients as a priority when coming in for an appointment or fulfilling patient health needs; Also they would frequently forget to call to let the patients know their scripts were ready. On a couple of different occasions, I had sat in the lobby's waiting room for 45 minutes or more ( past the check in time)- for an scheduled appointment with my doctor, only to be seen for by doctor for about 10 minutes or less. Both my mom and I , whom were both patients there, Have never felt like our overall health needs & concerns were ever a priority . Every time we see our doctor (it’s like Groundhog Day )- because all they do is ask us the few same old couple of questions - and that’s it. They don’t listen to our breathing , or check out overall physical health . My mom has diabetes and they’ve never even asked to see her feet , or do anything more than asking the few same repetitive questions . Lastly, watch out for their bogus charges on your bill. Just recently they had told my mom that she owed this outrageous amount ( like for over $1000) - in which occurred over a 5 month time period . Overall poor poor poor health practices. We arrived to an empty waiting room, I went through the check-in process at the kiosk and clicked submit EXACTLY 11 minutes past her appointment time. You refused to see my mother for her appointment. She's sitting there in pain in an empty waiting room, asking to be seen, but you turned her away. I appreciate running a tight ship, but really? When referrals are needed it is done promptly. Communication is spot on.
