Los Ranchos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Holland

It was almost a perfect experience this first visit.

They allowed me to park my semi in their lot. Immediately, it was a great service throughout my time there. They were Always checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. Extra napkins, refill on sala and chips, refill on my Coca-Cola , got me a straw, etc.. Later, a to go box and the bill. He told me to take my time. AKA, I wasn't rushed out the door like some places.

Exceptional higher end modern decor both outside and inside the restaurant. Outstanding cleanliness. Staff has professional uniforms.

Menu was well done with great pictures, and food was grouped by type and also included an express menu for lunch. Overall, it was a well thought-out menu layout. They had their own take on several traditional dishes where they added or switched up ingredients to give a different flavour profile.

They allowed me to make a substitution and didn't charge me extra. I asked that they not give me any tortillas but instead add a couple of jalapenos to the plate instead.

Portion size was great it allowed me to take some back to my truck, which will be my lunch tomorrow. Everything was cooked perfectly! No raw or burnt pieces.

I would highly recommend anyone traveling through this area of Michigan give thus...

Food was bland, we ordered three combination dinners, the chilli pablano had a thick soggy NOT WARM breading, took two bites and gave up trying. Tamale was overcooked and was mostly masa (dough), tostada was soggy / wet and ground beef had no flavor.

Rice + beans were ok, similar to all el ranchero rice + beans. Carne asada tacos were the only thing that was “good.”

Service was poor. The waiter was not friendly nor attentive. We asked for two boosters, he didn’t bring them. We asked for salt, he did not bring that. We were going to pack a left over taco and he didn’t bring a box, we also asked for. No refills, nothing. The food didn’t come out together either.

Will not go back. This restaurant is definitely not authentic and their food is not very good. I felt back to waste so much food….

Just another chain Mexican...

This place offered a great atmosphere, friendly staff (although I think limited English language skills) and very tasty food. We were offered a free basket of chips with a side of salsa right away. There are daily meal specials on the menu and happy hour from 3 - close with a few beverage items included. We had the Chimichanga Don Rige. We had asked for it to be deep fried a little extra, but it was not. However the flavorbof it and everything on the plate was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a side of rice, which was good as well.

We had a table of 6 people and all of the variety of dishes were served quickly, hot and there was a good amount of food on the plates.
