I went in expecting a professional, trustworthy transaction. Instead, I was sold a diamond that was misrepresented in terms of clarity and value. The staff spoke with confidence, assuring me I was getting a top-quality stone, but I had a lingering feeling that I was being sold, not guided.

A man named Boo was heavily involved in the conversation. He was actively pushing opinions and influencing my decision. He spoke with authority and made strong claims about the diamond's quality, adding to the pressure to buy.

After the purchase, I sent the diamond to a GIA-certified independent lab for verification. The results confirmed my worst fear — the stone was a full clarity grade lower than what was promised. This wasn't a small oversight. It was a serious discrepancy that meant I had overpaid significantly.

When I brought this to Mint Jewelers attention, I was met with vague answers and zero accountability. No real explanation. No effort to make it right. Just more of the same smooth talk I now realize was part of the problem from the beginning.

What makes this worse is the atmosphere: polished, persuasive, and designed to make you feel like you’re getting something exclusive. But underneath that, I found misleading sales practices and questionable integrity.

Mint Jewelers was able to fix the necklace the next day at a fair price, and they did a fantastic job that has lasted since. So, when I had another piece of jewelry that needed a link sodered, I went back to Mint, and again they fixed it at a fair price the next day. Boo, the owner, was friendly and welcoming and even had my bracelet polished before it was returned to me – it looked brand new! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs jewelry fixed, or is interested in buying something new...
