So I went there for the first time yesterday after a long wait for it to open, and ordered the traditional Gyro pita with an extra tzatziki sauce. The sauce was really good! It seemed like there weren’t enough vegetables is it for the size of the pita. But it was awesome! I went back again today, and ordered the same thing with an extra side of Gyro. When I got into my car, the side of Gyro wasn’t in the bag, so I went back inside and asked them for the missing gyro. Thankfully, I realized it before driving home. I when I ordered, I asked for extra napkins, but when I got home, there were no napkins at all. Not a big deal. The personnel is awesome, courteous, cheerful, and I could feel right away that I was in good hands. Yesterday’s visit a really good first impression. The cashier even called out to me to wish me a great day as I was opening the door to leave. The big picture: after the missing side and no napkins, I wouldn’t normally give it 5 stars, but I get that this is a new location and I could tell that there were some new employees in training - caring people who were just a little nervous. The big picture: the food was VERY good and very fresh. The reality is it is a new location, and finding employees that ACTUALLY CARE, and being able to hold onto them is real challenge in the food industry. I live half a mile away, and finding good gyro is not easy without a hefty drive. Keep up the good work, and pay the employees you want to keep. Pay them well!
Btw, yesterday I was order #83, and today I...
Read moreI’ve been waiting for gyroville to open for a really long time. We stopped by yesterday and it was finally open, there was no one in line and we took a few minutes to decide what we were ordering before approaching the register to order. There was one group sitting inside when we walked in. We waited maybe 10 minutes and saw them packing up an order, thought it took a while but it wasn’t that bad but the order was actually for the group that had been waiting before we walked in. It took over 20 minutes (based on receipt time) to get our order of 2 combos which are a traditional pita (main menu item) with falafel and a build your own pita with falafel and a few veggies and 2 side of grape leaves. Nothing overly complicated, the pita was soggy and mostly flavorless, the grape leaves were dry, very stiff and not very flavorful. The grape leaves smell deceiving my good but I think the ones from the Publix olive bar are far superior. Overall it was a huge let down. It was also slightly aggravating that it took over 20 minutes and 4 employees, which I can only assume are the owners, sat on a table outside talking, occasionally interacting with their children that were sitting inside and running around the store. I think they should have helped their employees and expedited the orders. Also to clarify they did not appear to be employees on their break as they had no food or anything. Overall I don’t think I’ll return, it was disappointing and took way too long especially considering how the overall quality...
Read moreThe wait for the best gyro in Hollywood has ended. Gyroville is here. I have been so excited to have this available right next to my home. If you didn't know, Gyroville has the best all around offerings that you can find in quick service restaurant. The food is fast, fresh, and delicious. You'll find the best traditional gyros served with any choice of protein from beef & lamb, chicken (spicy or regular), to even fresh falafel. You can even build your own and start it off with different options for the base like pita, whole wheat wrap, salad, or rice. Then there's lots of sauces and 15 different veggies to top it all off. Basically, you can get your gyro exactly how you like it. If you'd like you can also try the platter. It's everything you want all loaded up on a plate instead of as a wrap. After that they offer different flavorful sides and sweets for dessert to complete one of the best meals in town. I personally tried the beef & lamb gyro with fries and the chicken gyro with stuffed grape leaves. Everything was prepared fresh to order, served hot and fast, and was full of flavor. The fries were crispy and not too salty. The (rice) stuffed grape leaves are a perfect pairing to pull the flavors together. You should try them if you've...
