Tonight we ordered delivery and we were very pleased with our order. We live not far from the restaurant and we have tried all of the other local Italian venues. Especially when you consider there are many pizza and Italian places all within a few miles the competition can be stiff. I can say that from the start when my wife placed the call she was treated very nicely over the phone. Our order was placed and so we waited and our order arrived in a timely manner, so far so good. We open up our order and set up a couple of soups and hot subs on the table. Very happy to get an order of french fries included with the subs that were very reasonably priced. Happy happy. Next we open up our Italian Wedding soups and the first thing my wife says when she sees it is "Look honey this is the way Italian wedding soup is supposed to look". So I taste my soup and realize that it is freshly made with fresh spinach in it and real homemade meatballs. Wow so nice! And I bite into my sub that was loaded with mushrooms, onions and peppers, mozzarella cheese and it was very delicious as I was also impressed with the freshness of the roll. I mean this sub was big and loaded. Not the skimpy junk I got from another place I wont mention who. So all in all we were so very pleased with our dinner especially after a long hard day. All I can say is wow. I have had to deal with late deliveries, missing items, rude service on the phone, put on ignore only to call back and get put back on ignore! So for us to pick up the phone and order our food and get it right the first time says a lot about this place. It tells me that they actually care and in today's world that is important! A world where due to stupid pride people cant even utter the simple words "Thank You" but instead they say "Have a good one" well "Have a good one' Is NOT good enough for me an old school rock n roller from the '70s. I must say that the man that took my wife's order did say the words "Thank you and enjoy your meal" and to me that means so much more than you can imagine. Pizzarella gets 5 stars from me today! And I am a straight forward tour guide and if its bad I will say its bad and if its good I will say its good! This place is GOOD. Thank you Pizzarella for just doing it Right! Thank...
Read moreFirst off their food is great! My dissatisfaction comes from trying to order. I order the same thing and it’s nearly ALWAYS a struggle. And i consider myself patient…. I love SFL, our diversity, and except any extra work that comes with dealing with different languages and cultures, coexisting. Regardless, this place is a constant struggle. Communication on ordering over the phone is the main issue. I order the same “deal” almost every time I order. When I do, it’s vast confusion on what deal I’m trying to order. One time it was wrong and when I received my order and complained, they were PISSED. They put it on me that they repeated the order and I didn’t catch that they had is screwed up, with no consideration that it’s obviously a struggle to understand each other. If this is an issue for you, I suggest you order from another pizza place or order Chinese. Even the most authentic Chinese place will be 10x better at taking your order than these guys. Another example is when I try to order Kalamata olives. It’s like trying to order one of their deals. It will send your ordering process into a complete tailspin; confusion and total chaos. Finally, I’ve tried to eat there with my kids and another family with kids one night. We eventually left bc we didn’t receive prompt service and felt unwelcomed vibes while there. It’s such a bittersweet relationship bc their food is prob the best I’ve found in Hollywood. IDK if they’ll fix any of the issues but they will know who wrote this so, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go back. Ive written this review yet, refrained from posting bc I’m not that type of “negative review” person. I write this review hoping that they’ll be able to take notes and hire the right ppl to intake orders, serve guests, and thrive as a business. As someone with family “in the biz” I know that hiring the right people is hard. They’re worth trying and I hope it’s not a painful experience for you but this is a fair warning that it...
Read moreMy husband and I had been loyal customers since moving nearby 4 years ago. In the past we ordered from Pizzarella once a week on average. However, it seems like the service has been declining lately. A couple of times the delivery arrived with the pizza being room-temperature, at best. Well, tonight was the last straw. Twenty minutes after the promised wait time, my husband called to check on our order and the manager stated that they were busier than usual but our pizza “just went out for delivery” and should be arriving any moment (we literally live a couple of blocks away). Imagine our disappointment when our order arrives 10 minutes later (that’s 30 minutes after promised for a total wait time of 1 hour and 25 minutes) and both the pizza and garlic bread were COLD. We expressed our concern to the delivery man who stated we should call the manager because he came to our address first. Once getting the manager on the phone and expressing our disappointment she stated that she could take 10% off our next order. Really?!?! 10%!!! Given the fact that our order was nearly $30, a discount of 10% off would barely cover the delivery fee! We reminded her that we have ordered hundreds of pizzas from them and we’re loyal customers and we are disappointed with the recent service. She once again stated that a discount of 10% for the cold pizza we waited 1 hour and 25 minutes for was “the best” that she could do. In my opinion, if your looking for a local pizza place you can choose far better. We use to go with Pizzarella because they were close by and quick but if I’m going to have to wait over an hour and receive poor quality, I’d rather take my...
