NOT EQUIPT TO CARE FOR APPLE PRODUCTS! STAY AWAY! Apple support will allow you to visit Best Buy’s Geek squad to repair your apple devices. Unfortunately this was not the case. For starters, do not take the case off of your phone; let them struggle to take off the tough outterbox themselves. I made an appointment through apple support (still in warranty & insured) because my phone was not charging. Geek Squad Associate assumed physical damage because I came without a case and wanted to charge $100+ to repair. She also advised it would take 2-3 days for a new device because they have to send it out. I couldn’t understand why I was being charged for services that should be covered under warranty/apple care. Fast forward, I get in touch with the geek squad manager who said it would be $100 to repair the phone. I asked why and he responded by saying I would be charged as a result of physical damage especially because my screen is not working. I reminded the manager that I was there because my phone was not charging. I confirmed my screen works perfectly fine and even took my screen protector off to show him there weren’t any cracks present, and there wasn’t any physical damage. He then continued to say that it would take 2-3 weeks for a new phone because they need to diagnose it. Meanwhile, his associate told me 2-3 days. Very unorganized, diagnoses of the device are assumed and not properly or throughly investigated. I felt racially profiled and certainly felt like I was not being taken seriously.
I’d love corporate to roll back the cameras and review this interaction. In less than 3 minutes at the register my phone was brought back to me and told I’d have to pay for repair. After such awful experience I drove downs the road to Verizon where I was ordered next day...
Read moreWent in hoping for a decent experience and walked away exactly how I expected. They were supposed to replace the motherboard, cpu and ram. They wiped one of my drives and installed an older version of windows 10 and left my m.2 drive in my old mobo. The little button that changes the fan colors, yeah that now restarts the pc. They also gave me ram that is not compatible with my mobo so I had to order another set of ram. After hours of diagnosing the issue I had to perform a bios update, fresh install of windows 11 and install the missing ssd. They claimed they stress tested the pc but I’m not sure how they could have when there was nothing installed on it and when I took it home I installed 5 different games and not a single one of them would launch. They have texted me saying it was ready when it wasn’t causing me to waste time and gas. Also they said they would call me which they never did. I will never spend a dime at any Best Buy ever again.
