Creations By You / CBY Sparkle — Local services in Honolulu

I've been a longtime customer and dont normally like to review places in an unsatisfactory manner, but I felt it was important to share my shopping experiences at Creations by You. I really like their products and inventory, but the staff/owners/operators of this business are pretty rude (as their Yelp reviews clearly illustrate, this is def a theme.) At times, while shopping in the store I've felt like not only was I bothering the sales people by asking for help/ring up, but that I was intruding on a social club of some sort by being made to wait at the register while very long personal conversations are held, with no acknowledgment during or after the fact. I like to try to support local businesses and keep my money here in Hawaii if I can, but after the experiences I've had with their sales folk, both in-store and over the phone I'm sadly going to have to begin ordering the things I need online, for a better price, with better customer service and less hassle/negative interaction. It's a shame, but life's too short to be made to feel like a business is doing YOU a favor by allowing you to purchase...

If not the latter, Creations By You doesn't undersell - it's true! I went half heartedly looking for a project and found myself wondering the modest footprint for over a hour. Nearly every imaginable item was available and when not, enough to spark your imagine down a new path.

On top of it, everyone was incredibly nice. I think everyone in the store asked if there was some way they could help, though unbeknownst to them, I was simply letting creative thoughts take ahold.

The parking lot is a bit hard to navigate, when it's busy. However, that they have parking at all is a positive. I've never considered the area as a hot bed of creative small shops, but perhaps it should be - in 1 or 2 blocks, I found everything I could think of and everyone was equally as nice.

Went there looking for components to do my Christmas crafts... found what I needed. Bruiser and Val were there... as friendly and helpful as always... want to learn to make something... just ask them.. they will help you. Want to make your own invitations, favors, centerpieces... just ask them... want to bling out your things.. they will help you... classes available to do crafts... just stop...
