Our nightmare with Go Oahu Card. We purchased a Go Oahu Card via Expedia.ca (because it is 30% cheaper than buying directly from Go Oahu Website). For those of you doing the same thing you MUST print the Voucher that Expedia will be emailing to you right after you made the payment online. We drove to Waikiki from Turtle bay to pick up these go Oahu cards (1.5 hr drive with construction and traffic). I have my phone with me with access to my email to show the expedia purchase I made in hopes that this will be good enough so I can pick up our 4 Go Oahu cards - cause these days who does not accept electronic confirmation right considering we are on the 20th Century. My husband dropped me off the hotel lobby where the GO Oahu Card pick Up desk is, there is no parking, so good luck with that. I waited 20 minutes as the only person that works there is on the phone with a client only to be told that they do not accept electronic confirmation. WHAT. I was told that they do not have a printer there, and I must present a printed copy of my expedia voucher. To find a printer in the Island, is as painful as getting a root canal, or worst. What type of office does not have a printer are you kidding me? We spent about an hour trying to google where there is a printer in Waikiki, I found one in the Xerox Business Centre in Waikiki ( In Sheraton Hotel). Thank You Lord. For $7 I was able to access my email and print the 4 pages of purchase confirmation. We drove back to the Go Oahu pick up centre. I was glad my kids are in the mood that morning, they patiently sat in the car with my husband while I run around I think Sheraton Hotel trying to find this Xerox Business Centre. At this point, if I did not find the print shop, I was going to give up ( And I am not the giving up type). Who cares if we are going to end up wasting the money we used to purchase these DARN Go Oahu Cards. After printing the vouchers, we drove back to the Pick up Centre to get our Go Oahu Cards ( this at about 9:30 AM, we left Turtle bay at 6:15 AM). I suppose my fault for not printing the voucher that expedia emailed to me to exchange for the Go Oahu Card ( sorry for not carrying a printer with me while travelling overseas)!. BUT at the same time, the Go Oahu pick up process is pretty INSANE. They make it as hard as possible to pick up these cards. The money we saved using these cards are not even worth the trouble with what we went through. The Go Oahu Card rep is unprofessional; the office is not equipped with basic necessities such as a printer. It is ridiculous making a tourist wait for over 20 minutes to be told that they are not going be able to get the cards they paid for unless they do A B C D E F & G! The rep was not even apologetic for the long wait I endured 2 times. He looks proud of himself really. They do not have any aloha spirit in this whole Go Oahu Card thing. They are inconsiderate. Very Very Unhappy with this whole Go Oahu thing. Pay at the gates, stay away from this card. The use of this card has many many rules. It is not like paying for a regular admission ticket. READ THE FINE PRINTS. It sounds good first hand, but you’re not truly getting an amazing deal as how they have...
Read moreI liked the idea of the Go Oahu Card. My friends and I wanted to see multiple attractions in Oahu and felt the Go Card was the best way to save money. We did the 7 day card and received a free luau with our card purchase. We downloaded the app on our phones and when we went to attractions covered by the go-card the scanned the QR code in the app and we received our passes. The reason I am giving the card 3 stars instead of 5 is because of a snafu that our group dealt with due to the go card. I was travelling with a group of 7 people. There was another Kimberly in the group. We bought our go cards 2 months prior to our trip. She saw that she was charged twice on her credit card for Go Oahu Card. She called the customer service line and they said they would take care of it. Once we on our trip she was having issues with the go card app not loading her account. She spent an hour on the phone trying to get it corrected. At our second attraction we visited I went to use my card at the Dole Plantation to get a train ride and maze pass. My card was flagged for a FRAUD ALERT. I was so embarrassed. I called the Go Oahu Card customer service line to figure out what happened. Due to the time zone difference between Hawaii and wherever the call center is they were 5 minutes from closing for the day when I called. The customer service rep was willing to stay late to help me figure out the issue but seemed put out for having to stay late. It appears that GO Card had cancelled my go card account and refunded my payment when my friend who is also a Kimberly called to complain for being double charged. When I asked the rep how could they have cancelled my go card when I payed with a different credit card, different last name and different email address. She said they have strict procedures to make sure this does not occur. I feel that do not have strict procedures or this would not have happened. I had about an hour freak out since this occurred on the 2nd day of our vacation and I was worried about using my card for the rest of the trip. Granted after working with the customer service rep I did not have further issues during my trip. I still am baffled as to why the whole mix up with our card occurred. My friend Kimberly waited until the trip was over to contact Go Card again to make sure she was not being double charged because they credited my account on not her's prior to the trip because she did not any more issues while we were on vacation. The overall use of the Go Card is great to save money when you are visiting multiple attractions in Oahu but their customer service leaves something...
Read moreDon’t book these guys! Save your money and book with a different company. They have horrible customer service, which answers in different call centers internationally. I asked for supervisor multiple times and they did not want to transfer me to a supervisor to resolve the issue that we were having. They told me that a supervisor was gonna call me back, but never called me back even after two hours. So I had to call again. We booked our Go City back in December when it was all inclusive, but now apparently they changed it to where certain attractions and events are separate in a different pass. Now that we are in Hawaii seven months later trying to do our attractions now we can’t do them because they changed the pass. It’s not fair to us cause we booked it back in December and they didnt want to honor our all inclusive pass that we purchased or at least even honor the attractions that we wanted to do that are not available now on the current go city pass. They didn’t even email me or the group that changes were being made to the Go City pass or even offer a refund to the original all inclusive Go City so that we can change or purchase different passes that will fit our itinerary. They said that everybody had a three month chance to get it honored. But it’s not fair to anybody and to us who purchased the pass before they made changes to the Go City pass. They should honor everybody that purchased the Go City Pass before they made the current changes. For example, people could plan a vacation one year in advance before go city made changes to the Go City pass so the logic of only honoring it for three months after they changed the rules of the pass doesn’t make sense and is not logical. Now we’re stuck with plans that we are not able to do that we wanted to do originally, and also on top of that ruin our vacation time. We spent four hours trying to contact Go City trying to find a supervisor and cut into our vacation time which is unacceptable...
