A Five-Star Experience with GoTours Hawaii – A Must-Do in Waikiki
If you’re looking for an exceptional way to explore Oahu, look no further than GoTours Hawaii, the only locally owned tour company in Waikiki. Our experience with them was nothing short of extraordinary, and we’re deeply grateful for their unparalleled professionalism, timeliness, and best-in-class customer service.
From the moment the tour began, it was clear we were in for something special. The team arrived early, patiently waiting to ensure everyone was comfortably onboard. Their warm, personable approach and outstanding interpersonal skills immediately made us feel at home, setting the tone for a day filled with meaningful connections and unforgettable moments.
We embarked on the Circle Island Oahu Tour, a breathtaking journey around the entire island. Every stop was thoughtfully planned and accompanied by rich historical insights, transforming the trip into an educational and immersive experience. The state-of-the-art shuttle bus enhanced this journey with its interactive features. The large video screen at the front displayed engaging footage and content that aligned seamlessly with each destination, providing a unique, almost interactive experience. It felt like the perfect blend of storytelling and sightseeing.
Lunch was a delightful treat! Though it was self-pay, the experience was worth every penny. We dined on the freshest shrimp, raised locally at a nearby farm, adding an authentic flavor to the day. At every stop—whether it was the macadamia nut farm, the local fruit stand, or the charming restaurant—the warmth and friendliness of the locals added to the magic of the tour.
John, our driver, was the epitome of professionalism, navigating the island with the skill and care of a seasoned chauffeur. Eddie, our tour guide, elevated the experience even further. Born and raised on the island, Eddie shared heartfelt stories of his childhood, his love for the ocean, and his passion for surfing. His personal connection to the land and water gave us a deeper appreciation of Oahu’s beauty and culture.
This tour is truly a five-star experience. It’s more than just sightseeing—it’s a journey into the heart of Oahu, brought to life by a team dedicated to providing a white-glove, hometown experience. GoTours Hawaii exceeded every expectation, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Read moreTour was good but some things as most tours go can be annoying . It always seems they give more time to certain things than others and I feel it’s where tour groups have deals with local vendors. We don’t need to spend 40 minutes at a Mac Nut farm and then only get 40 minutes for lunch especially when you are at a place you would like to walk around after eating. No one wants to eat and then get right back on a bus . The other thing with this particular tour was that it was strongly encouraged and advices to order food from their selected restaurant without being told truly that there was full other options from other vendors . The guide even told the group that they promise this restaurant 100 meals ordered per day. This just happened to not be our first circle tour of our trip so we knew certain other stops would have food options but when we got to the lunch stop there was many vendors to chose from for food . So my advice is if you don’t want to order off the Pounders menu then don’t as you will Have other options . I can not say if the food is good or not at any of the places since we didn’t eat there as we grabbed food at another stop for lunch later . The stops are good that they stop at. Do not get too excited about seeing turtles as we did two different tours and didn’t see turtles. We liked that this tour did stop at the Polynesian cultural center , but that is the lunch spot and you only have 40 minutes . We would have liked more time at Dole Plantation also so we could have done the train or maze . If the tour groups know the train takes 45 minutes then why not give us the time to be able to do it . Again, maybe some other stops could be shortened. We liked the different views we were able to see for the places we had went already . And it was cool that some houses were pointed out and who owned them Driver was nice but alittle low energy and he had this annoying habit of laughing after everything he said . He did get us from stop to stop and back to Waikiki on time . I give him credit for having to deal with traffic especially unexpected traffic . Overall, the tour is good. Nothing you couldn’t do on your own but then you would need a car and gas and have to drive in the traffic . Always good to get local information...
