I love the healthy food & drinks available here. When visiting Waikiki, I like to be in close proximity so that I'm able to frequent this cafe.
They provide healthy snacks and smoothies made with fresh fruit and vegetables. Some favorites are the Spinach & Roasted Butternut Pumpkin/Squash wrap, the Hummus with a container of mini carrots & celery sticks, and the Avocado Toast with Pistachio Dukkah (with my choice; gluten free bread). This time I tried the Tuna Salad sandwich (on healthy grain bread), Chicken Caesar wrap, and the Chia Haupia (Hawaiian style; coconut milk) pudding, and they were all delicious too.
Tropical Storm & Pina Colada (non-alcoholic) Smoothies are two of my favorites, made with fresh fruit & pineapple juice and/or coconut milk, while you wait. One of these is perfect before, or after, a morning swim. They also have bottled juices that are freshly squeezed each morning (including watermelon & pineapple – 2 of my faves).
FYI, in Australian vernacular, Tucker is "food" and Bevvy is the contracted form of the word "beverage", therefore, the name means "Food...
Read moreFor smoothies, it really depends who is making them that day. One day, the Green Goddess smoothie was amazing, the next day it was just Apple juice. I love seeing Banana Bowl on the menu at smoothie places. The Veggie Stack could use a different name; once you remove the non-plant based cheese and basil, all you have left is a flat sandwich with few pieces of peppers and eggplant on not great bread.
For take away, I really enjoyed the Butternut Squash and lentil based salad and sandwich. They are not made fresh, but it was a standard above what is made fresh there. I am really grateful they were an option so close to my hotel as there isn't a ton of plant based, wfpb, vegan options near me. Not recommended for raw vegan; it's just not good enough.
They don't make their juice in here, they only offer cold pressed. They don't take American Express. Their cold brew coffee is HIGHLY HIGHLY acidic; straight up...
Read moreThis business has the best food. All of the options are totally my style (salads, sandwiches, acai bowls- all good+healthy snacky/picnic food - nice smaller portions). I'll even often opt for their food (cause it's available at WF) if I'm getting lunch at Whole Foods. The staff has always been wonderful + amazing, so 10 out of five stars for them! On this day (in attached photo) I got avocado toast. Super yummy and the powder that they make + dust on top is phenomenal. (I've also gotten their acai bowls, VEGGIE BURRITO, the chocolate banana bread is one of my favorite foods EVER, some of their juice shots, etc.) The BIIIG issue is the price. I can understand why it's so expensive - this corner is probably the most optimal location for this kind of cafe/picnic-food style business in all of Waikiki. So I understand- but can never bring myself to justify $14 avo toast under any...
