PV Tech — Local services in Honolulu

We had PV Tech add solar panels to our existing 14 panels. We worked with Sid to review our options. We had asked questions and made our decision over a 4-6 month period (while also asking to other solar companies the same questions). Sid and PV Tech was to most patient and transparent and were clearly working to help us find the best option for our home and family. We were also referred to Sid by our roofers! (We had replaced our roof the year before. This made us extra cautious on who we would hire for our solar!)

In the end, we chose PV Tech! Their team was professional and listened to our suggestions and wants on where to place the panels and run the conduits.

The end product was clean and the results amazing!!

We are enjoying our $30 electric bills!!!

My experience has been mostly good. One thing I appreciated was Sid Villaflor visiting on person and creating a PV solution best-suited to our particular situation. The 2020 installation process included a few snags (occurring during the COVID pandemic, so short-staffed), but they were ultimately remedied.

Two years later, The system stopped communicating with the Solar Edge monitoring app, but when parts became available, the crew was able to update the communication protocol, and it has performed well ever since.

They also helped to figure out why it appeared that some panels were not performing at 100% capacity, and that problem is resolved.
