UH Mānoa Bookstore — Local services in Honolulu

Great university! I love how easy it is to get scholarship and research funding in here. My professors and advisors were very nice and helpful. There are a lot of free giveaways too, every time they have events. The only thing though is that I don't think student involvement is a big thing here. They have RIOs, but their requirements for a student organization is very lenient. Students for the most part are not as proactive when it comes to involvement in student organizations. I guess everyone is busy studying, but still, in my previous university, students in general were more active in terms of student organizations and community service. But overall, great school! I love that this campus offers a ton of services to help students in their college life-- Free Counseling, Legal services, Campus Security escort service every night, Campus Security trainings (life-saving, emergency training for calamities or for situations involving violence, etc.), great perks during Finals Week, movie nights on Fridays, etc. I feel like a lot of things...

Updating my experience because it's sometimes so frustrating to be in this store due to the level of bad service this place has become. This is not towards any of the full timers, their customer service is always amazing. The students on the other hand, it's so bad. It hurts to write this review, because I know it was not like this at all before. But the student workers now day? They literally just stand around staring you while you struggle, or they just follow you around the store not talking to you, or even worse they're not even paying attention and just talking then get annoyed when you...

Everyone here was very helpful and kind when we came in. My wife and I are from San Antonio, TX and they made us feel right at home w/ their hospitality. I want to point out that the lady that greeted us at the door, went out of her way to help us find our way around campus. We left the store and sat underneath the tree to figure out where to go when she came out w/ a map and walked over to help us. That was beyond nice and so sweet of her.
