Nail story — Local services in Honolulu

Went in to get an acrylic filling and pedicure before leaving for vacation. I have been going there for almost a year now. Someone new worked on me. First she looked at my nails like some sort of specimen from out of space, even though I got my last pedi and mani done at their shop. Then she was rough, while cutting my cuticles she cut me too much. I felt the skin tearing. She was rough as far as snatching the towel from under my feet and pushing my feet in the water. She did not want to work on me at all, and her energy showed that. Then to get finished and my feet only looked like a polish change. She acted as if she didn’t want to touch me. I let it go. Walked out of there with sore toes and dry skin on my heels and under my feet. Then I bring my own decals, Kelly charged me $20 extra to have MY decals put on. I paid $114 for a mani and pedi that was not to my satisfaction along with horrible customer service. I also notice that they do not massage the black patrons only those that are not black. I’ve noticed that for as long as I’ve been going. It’s time to find another nail salon...

I do not recommend this nail salon. Nail tech (Kelly) did not remove the gel color in my pinky and thumb on both hands. She said because I agreed to just back fill. How does that make any sense not to completely remove the color?? Then when it was time to put color on my nails, she said I couldn't choose the colors I wanted because the pinky and thumb had dark colors - well that's because you didn't remove all past colors from my nails. She said that is normal. No, that is not normal. I've never been to a nail salon that did such a lazy/ cut corners/ poor quality to provide complete service. Now the color on my thumbs are cracking off; both thumbs. This is because she didn't remove previous color. Very poor quality of work. I can't believe a nail salon would do such a poor quality of work and think it's okay. You can see the previous color...

my friend made an appointment for us to get pedicures together. she arrived before me and when i arrived no one greeted me or said anything. after waiting 20 minutes, i asked when someone was getting to me. they said it’ll be a few minutes so i waited 10 min more. at this point my friend was basically done w her pedicure. when the technician came over she was extremely rude shoving the nail colors at me commanding me to pick a color immediately. i couldn’t believe the attitude i was getting after patiently waiting 30 minutes past my apt time. this isn’t my first rude experience...
