No one wants to spend their vacation getting their cell phone fixed.
The backstory: I had a cracked screen on my new, very newly released Pixel 6 Pro. It cracked before I left town and Assurion phone insurance sent a guy to my house to fix it. It seemed fine save for the now faulty fingerprint id, although I can't say the repairman instilled great confidence in me. Given the newness of the phone, he had no knowledge or prior experience working with one. This was before I left town.
The dilemma: 11 hours of driving and later, my phone has a black screen and I am at Disney World with 13 other people, divided into about 4 groups. A phone is, moreorless, your lifeline at Disney.
The resolution: I called Assurion back about my useless phone, and they connected me to Ubreakifix. I picked the location closest to me without consulting any reviews. I consider myself very lucky. I called at 4:30 to see if they could squeeze me in. Taylor answered and right away assured me with his competence that 1) my phone wasn't doomed, and 2) he could have it fixed in 2-3 hours and to drop it off that night, pick it up the next day by noon.
I arrived at 6, one hour before closing. Jake greeted me. I told him my saga. He said the timeline of events and symptoms sounded like the phone hadn't been calibrated and had a defective screen.
I left and arrived back at my hotel realizing I hadn't given an alternative phone # to reach me. Jake said, "funny story. I fixed your phone already.". I asked if he would hold it for me until the stroke of 7p because that's as soon as I could be there. He agreed. I picked it up and it's perfect again. Jake is the google tech there and his notions were correct. The phone hadn't been calibrated. She's perfect now. Onto Hollywood Studios today, where this time, I can use my app, take pictures, and not have to rely on smoke signals to communicate with my people throughout the park.

SO I googled and I found this place Gave them a call and they were very professional over the phone āļø they they could get it done in about a hour but after all it was said and done they actually got it done faster then a hour. They got it done in 30 minutes . So thanks š very much for your quick fast service . Devon and James did a great job and thanks so much for being so fast and being so professional . The staffs amazing and and the inside of the store was nice cold. Lots and lots and lots of AC which is nice š. It was very nice and decorated inside the shop. The price to get my screen repaired wasnāt to bad. It only costed 87 dollars šµ so not to high of a price bitcoin also not too low. I think thatās a very very fair price. I will say the only reason why I gave it a 4/5 is because there was not a restroom š½ in the shop and you need a public restroom in a business. But besides thatās it wasnāt very enjoyable experience. The parking around the shop is very good . The shop is in a shopping plaza and thereās a lot of parking but so theres no problem with finding a place to park. I would very very very much recommend this places . Very fast service .

Jacobe immediately met me at the counter with an awesome demeanor and a friendly smile - a refreshing change from other repair shops I've visited. He quickly performed a diagnostic check & found that six(!) of the USB-C pins were damaged. Then we discussed the options for the glass/screen replacement and the overall cost estimate. There was no pressure, no upselling - nothing but complete professionalism. The USB-C part appeared out of stock but could be ordered for Tuesday arrival and possibly a Wednesday installation.
I left the store, quite pleased with the experience and fully expecting to pick it up next week. Soon afterward I got a call from Jacobe - he found the part in-stock in the store, and the repairs were all done! Less than two hours later! On a Sunday! I picked it up, paid and it's been working perfectly ever since.
