Lakeside Village Park — Attraction in Horizon West

We have been coming to this park for two years. The playground has a fence enclosure to keep the little ones safe from wandering. There is one sun sail coverage for the play area for the kids 5-12 and the toddler playground has no shade coverage. The playgrounds have slides, climbing structures, ramp accessibility, stepping stools, and interactive sensory stations with music and sounds. An adult fitness area is outside the fenced playground area and also has a sun sail for shade coverage. There is a covered pavilion with two picnic tables but there are no bathrooms. This park features a large field for soccer and is great for flying a kite on a breezy day. There are sidewalks for roller skating, skate boarding, scooters and biking.

Would love it if the toddler playground had the shade coverage, there are pole structures present to allow for sun sail to be attached and would be great to have a small bathroom area for emergencies that children tend to have.

Great area. There's an enormous open field I always see people out doing many activities. Football, soccer, golfing, frisbee with their dogs etc you name it's happened in that great size field. There's a little park for ages 2-5, not sure why there's not something larger for slightly older children but it's better than nothing. There's covered benches as well. I love taking the walking path daily near here that I see so many locals enjoy as well. Also happy at the new addition that's coming up near the lake. Looks like it's almost done! There's a little wooden dock they've built and sidewalks that connect to the previous ones and gives you a great view of the lake and surrounding conservation area that seemed like post lakeside apartments have only been alllow d to enjoy for themselves for...

Nice park but people are not practicing social distancing or even wearing masks. Kids climb all over the adult work out equipment and there often litter left behind. There is a fairly new dock and paved path by the lake. However many people fish from the dock and are not cognizant of others when they are casting their lines. There are small signs warning of the natural habitate so be cautious as there are snakes and a small gator...
