From the exquisite coffee to the delectable Nutella éclairs, crepes, and Croque Monsieurs, this charming café offers a truly authentic French experience.
Let's start with the coffee, which is nothing short of exceptional. Served piping hot and brimming with rich flavors, every sip is a sensory delight. The smoothness and depth of the brew demonstrate the dedication and expertise of the talented baristas who craft these perfect cups of caffeine.
The owner of My French Cafe is an absolute gem. With a warm and welcoming smile, they create an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like part of their family. Their genuine passion for French cuisine and dedication to providing a delightful experience shines through in every aspect of the cafe.
Now, let's talk about the heavenly pastries. The Nutella éclairs are a revelation. The crepes, both sweet and savory, are masterfully prepared with fresh ingredients and the perfect amount of finesse. And the Croque Monsieurs, with their delightful layers of ham, cheese, and béchamel sauce, are the epitome of comfort food.
While the food is undeniably fantastic, I must note that the service can be a bit slow at times. However, the staff's genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail make it clear that they are committed to providing an unforgettable experience. So, although the service may take a little longer than expected, the remarkable food and the friendly owner more than compensate for this minor inconvenience.
The ambiance at My French Cafe is undeniably good, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a Parisian bistro. While it falls slightly short of greatness, it still adds a touch of authenticity to the overall experience.
In conclusion, My French Cafe is a delightful haven for those seeking an authentic taste of France. The remarkable coffee, heavenly pastries, and the kind-hearted owner make it a must-visit destination. While the service may require a touch more efficiency, the outstanding food and charming atmosphere more than make up for it. With its undeniable charm, My French Cafe has won my heart, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a delightful French...
Read moreThe only good quality of this place are the pastries. Unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired. While the prices are reasonable, the quality of the dishes is quite poor. I ordered a simple ham and cheese sandwich that was nearly inedible; the Swiss cheese was so unappetizing, it felt as if it had been microwaved to the point where the cheese had been melted so much it seemed like butter because it had disintigrated into the baguete that was also cold and not toasted so you can tell because of that, that the cheese was put into the microwave and was not melted from the toaster. The ham was a very low quality ham, the combination was so bad that I couldn’t manage more than two bites before discarding it. The omelette was mediocre, and we also tried the two eggs with bacon and potatoes. All the potatoes, served alongside the omelette and the eggs, were dreadful – they tasted as if they had just been microwaved and sprinkled with salt, lacking any sautéing or proper heating, which left them tasting frozen. The eggs appeared to be from a carton, contributing to a very disappointing experience overall. I’ve had pastries from here before, and they were decent, but today we were left regretting our choices. I should mention that they are difficult to reach by phone; I called about seven times to inquire when the kitchen closes and still no answer till this day. Also very disappointing that the store closes at 7, but the kitchen actually shuts down at 3.. please make it make sense.. ? The two guys at the front were quite friendly, but the lady, whom I assume is the cook, did not exhibit the same warmth. She wore large headphones, and looked at you as if upset because you were ordering food which struck me as rather unprofessional for a restaurant setting. Additionally, I noticed that the other chef, who was rolling dough, was wearing sandals—an inappropriate choice for a kitchen environment. It seems like there is a lack of management here, as the staff appears to operate freely without guidance. They don’t even clear dirty tables; customers are expected to bus their own, while the staff often sit at the end, using their phones or chatting with one another. While the two gentlemen were pleasant, it doesn't compensate for the overall disorganization of the place. It's unfortunate, especially considering the potential this establishment has. My recommendation would be to invest in higher-quality ingredients and hire a manager, as the current service and food leaves much...
Read moreSole reason we tend to frequent this place is due to the location. Two-minute drive. There is absolutely nothing else around, save for the equally inept Jumbo Sushi joint 50 feet away. In the past they've requested a review more than once. Happy to finally oblige.
Pros: Nice desserts.
Cons: Normal bottle of water is $4.00. Want a bigger bottle? $7.00. This alone is ABSURD.
Bread:Sandwich ingredients ratio is whack. Either fill up the sandwiches properly or adjust your bread. If you like trace amounts of meat seated in-between two seat cushions, try ordering a breakfast sandwich panini-style. It's hilarious.
The disparity in protocol between all the cashiers is annoyingly cavalier. Some will just take the order and you get a surprise. Some will recommend altering a different menu item to achieve a cheaper alternative of what you actually wanted to order. This basically suggests that you can finesse the menu to get what you want at a discount. Classy.
If you're fortunate enough for the front to successfully relay the order to their cook (this alone is shockingly hit/miss), grab a good book. Even for something that requires no preparation (i.e., one-minute heat and serve), get ready to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait some more.
They close at "Dusk". Cute. Time to grow up and pick a closing time.
I reckon the primary reason this place has survived as long as it has is strictly due to the absence of any other reputable joints around (Caprino's doesn't count as that place was long-doomed). With 'The Big Easy' opening next door, the Cafe's gravy train will probably slide to a grinding halt within a year. It's a real pity as the location and potential makes it a veritable gold mine; completely squandered and undermined by haphazard execution.
The current four-star average is not indicative of what you can consistently expect upon multiple visits. I can only surmise that those who've enjoyed their experience lucked out once or twice.
