Where to begin...... I never leave reviews, good or bad, but I couldn't overlook the lack of customer service with this company.
I needed two tables and two sets of chairs for an event I was asked to coordinate at work. I reached out to Any Occasion because they were located in our neighborhood. After receiving initial friendly correspondence from Lynne, I needed to request updates to our quote twice before things were finally listed correctly. I took the time to type out how things needed to be formatted in order to ensure it was correct the final time. And I owned up to there possibly being a mistake/oversight on my end with communicating the details. With lots of people requesting things and lots of information coming and going, I was willing to overlook this.
Then, a colleague arrives to pick up our tables and chairs, and they cannot locate my invoice in their system, nor did they have the order ready to pick up. Took several minutes to sort things out, and then they shorted us a table because they claimed they only had record of the initial quote that listed one table instead of two. The quality of the table and chairs we received was also subpar compared to what was advertised.
When I called to request a refund for the missing table, barely any apology was offered for the inconvenience and lack of customer service at the pick-up location. However, they seemed to be able to easily locate my invoice to give me a refund, even though they couldn't locate it when we came to pick up the items. We won't be using this company again as it is very apparent the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If they cannot get a basic order for tables and chairs correct as an event rental company and cannot ensure good communication via their system to have an order ready for customer pickup, I wouldn't trust them with a major event such as a wedding or family reunion. Read moreThey tried to scam us out of money and took $400 out of our account without permission!! I rented linens and chairs from this company for my wedding. After the wedding the driver came to pick up the linens and chairs. Then two days later, they sent me numerous emails about missing linens (I didn’t see the emails because I was on the honeymoon). The manager, Kathy Dacy, then sent us an email saying we were missing 5 linens, then the following email she said she had charged us for 7 missing linens. She charged $400 from our account without even talking to us! We called and asked how the number changed, she hung up, we called again and she told us “5+2=7” like we were children. I told her we understand simple math, and that her emails said two different numbers. I knew for a fact we hadn’t missed any since my coordinator and parents counted them all before bagging them. It was a constant battle. She had to “recount” several times and I told her she should know the number before taking money out of our account! Today, over two weeks later, I received an email saying, “The head of our Linen department was on vacation until today I had her actually look for the linens, they were found I sincerely apologize for any stress this caused you or your husband.” This shows how they throw money around and don’t take it seriously. I think Kathy Dacy was trying to pull a fast one and take our money after we already returned the linens! Thinking we wouldn’t notice... why did it take over two weeks for someone to locate the linens? After I was told countless times that they don’t have them after she looked for them so many times? Read moreMy company used Any Occasion as our sole tents and rentals provider for our multi-day, large-scale food and beverage production in Sugar Land. They provided everything from tents, tables, chairs and linens to fencing, power distribution and kitchen equipment. The company was absolutely wonderful to work with both in the months leading up to our event during pre-production, as well as during setup, event times and break down. They were a wonderful partner in producing this event, and were integral in making our event a success.
Lynne and Jason were our contacts. Lynne's response time was very quick and she kept us very organized and on track. Jason's technical knowledge and events experience and background was extremely helpful in planning our floor plan and our setup schedule. Our large Saturday/Sunday tented event began setup on Tuesday of the week prior to the event. In the meantime while juggling setup there, Any Occassion also provided rentals, setup and breakdown for two smaller dinners on Thursday as well as another reception event Friday. The way Lynne and Jason were able to juggle all the pieces for a multiple events, multiple day project and build was extremely impressive and all the while they managed to maintain the utmost level of professionalism. They were very accommodating of us and all our on-site tweaks and last minute requests. Truly, I can't say enough great things about working with them.
They were an absolutely wonderful partner, and we could not have executed a successful weekend of hosting 3,500+ guests without them. I highly recommend Any Occassion for any and all event rentals and setup needs. Thank you...
