We've probably visited this restaurant any time we're working close by for the last 20 years. I've always found something in the menu to my liking whether it's the tacos, the caldos and more recently I've been partial to their Tampiquena plate which is a carne asada with an enchilada on the side.
The restaurant always has good people on staff to serve customers. The waitresses are very attentive to our table every time.
Many people describe this as a hole in the wall and the vibe is definitely there let me tell you. Watch out for when someone puts a loud mariachi song on the rockola (jukebox). My only recommendation would be to lower the volume on it for breakfast and lunch and turn it up in the evenings.
The place is always clean with the tables that are open ready to go. One of the few places I can say that you can expect the same experience every single time. I think we'll keep going for...
Read moreI was a regular here for years! I went on Monday 06/14 and the service was nice nothing different than when I ever go. But I go and the food is kinda not so good I though It was just mine so I try my husbands food and it was terrible... I leave a cash tip $3.00 on a $20.84 order. I leave and 2 hours later I am having food poisoning symptoms. I check my bank account and see I was charged $10.00 whole extra dollars. When I checked the day before I saw it was for the right amount, But today I call to let my bank know I was charged 10 extra dollars turns out my husband put on the tip line 0.00 for the tip since we left a cash tip. The waitress wrote a one in front of the 0.00 to make 10.00 it was my husbands fault for that, but I feel so wronged, will never return after 8...
Read moreThis taqueria has really good food. I usually get their pork chop and eggs and ask for a side of ranchero sauce. Today was the first time I had lunch there. I asked for 3 tacos. Barbacoa, chicharron, and tripas and some avocado. I said no onion on anything and of course I had to send it back because they were loaded with onions. No big deal. The tripas was the best I've had in a long time. They were extra clean and crispy. I think you have to tell them if you want crispy. The barbacoa was good as well. The chicharron was my least favorite. The salsa is pretty good. My biggest concern is the fact that the avocado was $5 for what looked like only half an avocado. That was the most expensive item. Not cool. Parking can be tough,...
