My family ordered close to $200 worth of seafood yesterday (05/11/25) to go from this Mambo's Restaurant for Mother's Day. When we got home we were extremely disappointed and upset to say the least. Not only did they ruined our Mother's Day dinner but they took us for fools, wasted our time, and money.
Here's what we ordered: 1. The family pack #2, 2. The Grilled Octopus signature plate, and 3. Large Más Especial Rice.
Here's what they got wrong:
Our family pack meal didn't come with the bread it was supposed to come with, The grilled octopus was undercooked and the to go plastic container they put the food in had a little hole in it so the octopus sauce was leaking, The Más Especial Rice shouldn't be called Más Especial Rice. It should be called the Minus Not Especial Rice because it had little to no shrimp, chicken, or pork. This was upsetting!! They took advantage that it was a busy day because any other day-- we would have gone back to get our money back!! So, they took us for fools and we paid extra for just veggie fried rice. They also told us the food would be ready in about 30 minutes. We understood it was a busy day so we waited over a hour!! The least they could have done was make sure our order was made correctly and not missing anything.
When we got home, we also found out that our brother had taken his wife to this same Mambo's a few weeks earlier. They were the only couple waiting for a table of two. However, the hostess gave away their table to another couple who walked in a few minutes after them just because they knew them or maybe because they were the same nationality. We will never know the reason but it was wrong!
We don't recommend Mambo's Restaurant for all the above reasons and hope this detailed review helps someone else.
Mambos Restaurant you're unprofessional and don't care about customer experience.
People work hard for their money so when y'all treat people's to go food orders like this it's called a scam!!
Mambo's has lost...
Read moreMy family and I experienced the most professional service!!! This was our first visit to Mambo Restaurant. We've been traveling by car 36 hours only stopping for gas and snacks after visiting my in -laws in Mexico. I'm a southern girl from North Carolina. I had checked via internet trying to find a seafood buffet in the area without any luck. We were greated as we walked in and as I was seating down holding my sick 2 yr.old son a nice lady greated me with a childs high chair. Shortly another lady greeted us by the name of Reina with a smile and patiently explained any questions we had in referecnce to their menu.(English/Spanish) All the employees walked with a smile ,greeted and took care of any customer including the manager. My 12 year old needed ketchup he proceeded to walk towared counter and the owner was setting two tables away and heard my husband tell our son to go and ask for ketchup, the owner stopped whatever paperwork he was taken care of got up and made sure it was brought to our table.
I went to the rest room and I smelt and seen the cleanest. I told my husband I was surprise not to smell fish odor due to it being a seafood restaurant. Take in mind I'm very cautious about sanitory being in the medical field over 20 plus years. The food was AMAZING!!!!! My 12 yr. old eyes raised with a yummy look as I shared my rice with shrimp him.
My husband says if he could give 6 stars he would and so would I!!!!
Thank You Guys for making our trip more...
Read moreBeen wanting to try Mambo Seafood for a while...we were close and had time so we took the opportunity. I was slightly concerned driving in due to it was peak lunch time and the parking lot wasn't full. This was a testament to you can't judge a book by the cover. Upon going to sit we noticed Everything Everywhere was Clean Clean Clean...the floor, the tables, the seats, the staff. Our waitress was prompt and greeted us with a smile. The menu has many options. I chose the Mixed Grill (fish and shrimp) Z style, with Mambo rice and fresh vegetables. My wife chose the Empanadas with a side salad. All I can say we both now have a new favorite destination for Seafood. The food we ordered was amazingly delicious. Cooked and seasoned to perfection...slightly crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside, you could taste the freshness in every bite. The price was a bit higher than expected for lunch time, as I was expecting to pay ~$30 and ended up paying $40, but the delicious food, the portion size, and wonderful service was well worth that extra $10. If you're looking for a new favorite Seafood restaurant, try Mambo Seafood....you won't be disappointed. If I had to critique anything it would be the volume of the music playing was a little loud.....you have to speak up and talk louder than the music to be heard, but this is a minor detail compared to everything else that's AAA+ about this restaurant. This definitely won't keep us...
