I've been here a few times and the service was always good. Not so much today. Our drink orders were taken about 5 minutes after we were seated. I ordered coffee and forgot they serve champurrado, which I love. My husband said to order it and I told him I would after my coffee. Well, the waiter finally came and took our order. After our food came he never came back until we were done, not even for refills and when he asked if we needed anything else I told him a champurrado to go and my husband finally got that refill on his water. The waiter brought my drink in a styrofoam cup and placed a straw on top. I know this is a hot drink but it was practically boiling hot because when I took one cautious sip, it burned my tongue and lips. I didn't make a big deal I just took it and let it cool off. We never got our ticket and went to the cashier so we could pay and leave and the girls just looked at us like they were helpless without a ticket. My husband pointed to our waiter and when he walked up he thought something was wrong and asked what happened. I said nothing, we just want to leave. My husband paid and we left. If he wouldn't have left a tip, it wouldn't have bothered me, but I'm sure he did. Anyways, after the drink cooled an hour later, I took a few sips and felt a hair at the tip of my tongue and on my lips. I pull it out and it's a gray pubic hair!!!! I was disgusted and gagged for about a minute. I rinsed my mouth, brushed my teeth, threw my toothbrush away and gargled with a strong mouthwash from the dentist. I'm still grossed out all these hours later. I still can't understand how a pubic hair made it in a pot of champurrado! Did he just not wash his hands after doing whatever he did to get it on himself? Did he put it in there on purpose? He's in food service and should practice good hygiene and safe food handling. I say he because there's an elderly man that works there. It could've been a female's hair as well. I really don't know but it should not have...
Read moreSave your money, because this place is not it. We had issues from the start. Tried to order unsweetened teas, supposedly the machine wasn't working, but half way into the time there, heard her way she would get them unsweetened teas, never thought to tell us, who initially wanted it, had to ask her.. The waitress wasn't attentive at all, no refills, we initially ordered 4 fajita taco salads, it was nothing but fatty pieces and some hard pieces as well, so we ended up trading it for ground beef, and it was totally drenched in water. I asked our server if they drained the meat, she said "Yea but you know, sometimes the meat from the water gets in" on top of this, they brought 3 out of 4 without the sour cream and gauc, when she brought it back out, there was no lettuce. I mean, wow. Long story short, I asked if she'd comp the taco salads, just the 3 that were problematic but no. Instead, I end up arguing with the waitress and the so called manager. Full on arguing. I mean, the sad part is, there was a language barrier, so the waitress never expressed to the manager all the issues we had prior, just that I wanted taco salads compted. Making it seem like I am looking for hand outs and being unreasonable. I made sure I told her she did NOT come check on us. She disappeared. 4 other severs asked me what I needed, seeing as though I was continously trying to find our sever. The waitresses excuse for not getting refills, or checking on us, was that she had other tables. I should of just left, honestly. This experience was so horrible and the food was not good. The only thing they really have going for them is a diet coke, and their chorizo queso. Save your time...
Read moreApparently reading from the other reviews if you don't speak Spanish or even look simular to the staff you get treated differently. I didn't even dine here my car got a flat and this was nearest parking lot I could pull into without being on the side of the road I waited in the front and saw 4 staff members three women and one male all look at me in the eyes and completely ignore me standing in the front. Two ladies behind the bar one standing on the side of the bar and a guy just walking back and forth drinking out of a cup not one person acknowledged me to see if I needed something. All I needed to tell them is that my car had a flat tire and that I would be there before closing to retrieve it and to please not tow it. They even checked someone out in the process also telling another patron in Spanish to have a nice day all while leaving me still standing in the front. I got a little flustered and just walked to the bar and finally I was acknowledged with wide eyes from one of the ladies who looked at me and ignored me in the front. I told her my ordeal and she did keep her promise that they wouldn't tow it. But the fact is that I wasn't even dining there and I got treated this way but they do get at least half of the stars for keeping their word and not towing my car. I don't wish to patronize this business...
