We are super fans of the fufu cafe. We were happy it moved here. Because it is closer to home. But it disappoint big time. My daughters that are fufu lovers. Kept trying to justify everything that went wrong. But it was to much to ignore. Here is some details.

The bad: Waiter was reeking of cigarette. I have a bad nose. So smells are not easy for me to pick. This was extremely bad.

The ginger beef was extremely salty. I asked for them to fix it. They did. I think the put it through some hot water and then passed it through the wok again. We did not eat it and left it behind.

Chicken fried rice. My daughters favorite. It tasted the same. But they added something crunchy to it. Never had fried rice with a crunch like that. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

The place simply does not feel clean. If you go there. You will know what I mean.

Head server person so very rude. She was not taking care of use. But she was supervising everything and everybody. She was yelling in Chinese to other servers that were making mistakes I guess. Oh so loud. I remember her from fufu restaurant (not the cafe. The ladies from the cafe were great), and she was the reason we only went to that one once. And never came back.

There is a constant rumble from the kitchen that you can hear in the dining area. It feels like the burners on the wok are in the table next to you.

The good.

Portions are much larger than before, and prices are the same.

The new restaurant have a lot more space. So no more waiting.

I just hope they regain the magic...

We were very excited about the new location. Loved the old one, but this one is much closer to my house. The new place is spacious. Very bright and welcoming. You can tell they are still getting things together. There are plenty of huge tables with lazy Susans on them for large groups. There were about 5 tables with people at them, and they were all next to each other. With all the empty space they could have spread us out a little. The one table that had a baby and a small child moved to the far left side, away from people. We never once heard the baby cry. We were not offered the Dim Sum menu. We were given a regular dinner menu. There was a variety to choose from. We ordered the Fried Eggrolls, Eggplant, Green Beans with black beans and Pork, Salt and Pepper Squid and the Scallion Pancake. The Eggrolls were very good. The dipping sauce was very thick. Kind of like the “duck sauce” you often get with a to-go order. It could have been a bit more… The Eggplant was under-cooked but extremely flavorful. The dark sauce was amazing. I really enjoyed dipping the pancake in it. The Green Beans were fantastic. A good amount of pork and black beans. The Scallion Pancake was very thick and greasy. The Salt and Pepper Squid was not very good. It was greasy and very, very chewy. Very little “salt and Pepper”. The Iced Tea was excellent! We will be back at a busier time when hopefully we can get Dim Sum.

NOT THE RESTAURANTS FAULT: The parking lot is terrible. Lots of deep ruts and poorly planned and...

FuFu Dim Sim is a gem for lovers of authentic dim sum and Asian cuisine. Nestled in a cozy corner of the city, the restaurant offers a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere paired with an extensive menu that caters to a wide range of tastes.

The dim sum selection is truly the star here. Each piece is meticulously crafted, with delicate dumpling wrappers and flavorful fillings. The shrimp har gow and pork siu mai are standouts, showcasing perfectly balanced textures and bold flavors. Their signature steamed buns are fluffy and filled with a rich barbecue pork that’s absolutely addictive.

What sets FuFu Dim Sim apart is the attention to detail. The dishes are served fresh, with an eye-catching presentation that enhances the dining experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend their specialties or suggest pairings from their impressive tea selection.

The ambiance is relaxed yet lively, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and celebratory dinners. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality of the food and service justifies the cost. For those seeking a culinary adventure or just a comforting meal of dim sum, FuFu Dim Sim delivers in every way.

A Hidden Gem in the New Spot! We’ve heard the whispers—new location, growing pains, mixed reviews. But let me tell you… that was not our experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like regulars. Our server was on point the entire night—friendly, fast, and totally on top of things. At most Chinatown spots, getting extra rice or a water refill feels like a side quest. Not here! We had barely scooped the last grains of rice onto our plates when a fresh, steaming pot appeared like magic. Our water glasses? Never empty. It’s like they had a sixth sense for our needs. Now the food. The short ribs were rich and tender, the orange peel chicken had the perfect kick of zest and crunch, and the honey pork? Sweet, savory, and absolutely addictive. Great service and seriously delicious food. This place is a staple in Chinatown! P.s. Chopsticks are standard. I think they were judging the book by the cover tried to deliver forks and spoon prior to the meal 😝
