One hour and 50 minutes. . . I walked in and asked for a manicure and pedicure. I was seated for the pedicure within 10 minutes. I thought that was a good sign. The chair I was seated in had the massage remote tucked so far under it that I thought it was broken. A technician finished a customer and came to turn on the water for my tub so I thought she was going to start on me. The water was lukewarm and something started floating around the tub when the jets were turned on. When I tried to ask her about changing tubs due to something floating, she sat down in front of the customer next to me. I had to alert her that the water in my tub was about to overflow. I was left waiting for over 20 minutes. I gave two stars because the technician that I ended up with found the chair remote and turned it on and also used pressure points during the massage that actually felt really good. In the middle of my pedicure, he got up to do some design painting on the toes of another technician's customer. After my toes were painted I was moved to the UV drying station . . . And that was it. My technician went to give another customer a manicure that came in AFTER me. I finally decided my toenails were dry after 30-35 minutes. I didn't bother reminding them that I originally wanted a manicure as well. I paid for the services that I DID receive and left. I will not...
Read moreI went here because of the good google reviews and was very disappointed. Was looking for a gel pedicure and when I asked if the price on the list ist right (37$) the man asked me if there’s already gel on my toe nails and named me a total of 40. When I sat down, the lady who was obviously doing my pedi tried to force me for a higher price treatment by pointing on a menu (she did not speak English at all, which is not very helpful in a position like this). It was hard communicating with her. When I told her a couple of times, that I wanted the basic pedi, the price somehow raised by another 3 $. I said a few times that I wanted short nails, she did not understand, cut them totally uneven and the shaping was very poor. Plus, the old gel was not removed evenly and you could see the rest of the color through the new applied one. When I told them, they just covered it up with a darker color. Coloring was just as bad as the shaping, very uneven. Plus, in my opinion, the hygienic standard is super low. In the end, the man working in that place tried to force a tip, which I denied. I really don’t know how they can have such good reviews, since my experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had in nail salons
2 stars because the cuticle and cullus removing was okay.
I definitely...
Read moreI have met my nail match made in heaven... Tony is the best!!! Really, really tho. You wanna talk about skill, oh he has it to pay the bills!! The first time I walked by this hidden Gem in Walmart was because of the beautiful nail art on display as I was leaving the checkout. So glad I stopped. I showed Tony a picture of a nail set that I liked but felt I over paid for and asked how much he would charge. His price was extremely reasonable and I promised him I would be back when my current set had expired. I came back and well I'm back again and will be back as long as I live in Houston (3 more months) and everytime I come back. Aside from his excellent work and their huge selection of powders gels acrylics and Swarovski diamonds, Tony is just an awesome person! I always have a great genuine conversation with him with so much laughter.. he is hilarious and 100!! Good work takes time but it flies by with Tony and he keeps my hand on fleek.. I get compliments on the day that I'm planning to to see him, ha! Every place that glitters is not gold, but Tony & Cobe Nails are Definitely Golden!! Come check this place out for and get...
