I am thrilled to share my experience with Discovery Kids Academy (DKA). After a month of my child attending DKA, I can confidently say that it has been a wonderful journey for both my child and me.
The staff at DKA is exceptional. They are friendly, caring, and dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for the children. Every time I drop off and pick up my child, I can see the enthusiasm and excitement on his face, which is a testament to the positive atmosphere created by the staff.
One of the aspects that I appreciate about DKA is the perfect classroom size. It allows for individual attention and fosters a sense of community among the students. The teachers are able to focus on each child's needs and provide personalized support, which has greatly contributed to my child's growth and development.
Communication with the school is seamless through Class Dojo. It provides a convenient platform for parents to stay updated on their child's progress, activities, and any important announcements. I find this mode of communication ideal as it keeps me informed and involved in my child's educational journey.
The curriculum and learning at DKA are outstanding. Even after just a month, I can see the evident progress my child has made. The curriculum is engaging, age-appropriate, and designed to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking. I am confident that my child is receiving a well-rounded education at DKA.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my decision to enroll my son at Discovery Kids Academy. The staff, the classroom size, the communication platform, and the curriculum have all exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend DKA to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching educational environment for their child.
Thank you, Discovery Kids Academy, for providing such a fantastic experience...
Read moreWhen picking a childcare provider our number one priorities were safety, the happiness of our child, and the ability to support their social emotional/growth. DKA meets all of this criteria above and beyond. We love the small class size and the ease with which we can communicate with the staff. Our child is blossoming, excited to go to school, and meaningfully connected to their classmates.
We've been able to address concerns directly with staff at pickup/drop off and when needed schedule parent/teacher conferences within a couple of days of asking for a meeting. I know that the staff cares about our child and has their best interest at heart.
My only negative comments are that they watch a little more TV than I would like. Also, I think the curriculum could be a little more dynamic. (It's more coloring and worksheet based.) Our child actually loves these activities because they involve coloring, cutting and pasting, and other find motor skills. It's a lot like arts and crafts. However, I do wish there were a couple more activities that integrated other forms of education like water based learning, show and tell, and other sensory play.
That being said, I would highly recommend DKA to any parent who wants their child to grow, thrive, and play all day long. There is an easiness at the school, amongst the staff, and in the halls. The classrooms are diverse. The staff is always willing to hear my feedback and most important of all our child is HAPPY, CURIOUS, and HAVING FUN. Thanks DKA for taking care...

My experience comes from touring the facility. My observation was enough I saw two toddlers walk out of a classroom unsupervised to go to the restroom, when they are church members, staff etc.. walking in around the facility. I heard two teachers from outside the door b/c noone knew i was there, yelling at the children. The director was not available on the phone or for the tour. The staff claimed to be understaffed but the teacher that was there said she could not help me b/c she was on her lunch break. There was a pile of diapers on the floor sleeping next to it was a toddler with no mat, no socks, and no shoes. The other side of the room had toddlers fighting over a toy and the teacher yelling at them to put it down. They took my information down to have the director call me to reschedule. Needless to say that never happened nor would I want my child to attend their facility but I did want to address these issues. I am writing this review in hopes to help other parents in their search. It has not been easy to find a good daycare and this was very...
