One particular highlight for me was the stunning pieces by Chinese artists from New York, crafted out of crates. The sheer creativity and ingenuity behind these works left me in awe. What sets this gallery apart is its commitment to showcasing artwork that pushes boundaries and challenges traditional notions of art.

Read moreThe Center for Contemporary Craft is always one of my favorite places to go. It's always fun to look in the gift shop and see what pieces the artists have been working on. It's totally free to enter, which makes it a great spot for any art lover or someone on a budget looking for a hidden gem in the city. Right now, they're in between exhibits, but they always have pop-up shows that can include pottery or other forms of craft. But don't be dissatisfied if there's no exhibit- you can always go to the back of the building and watch the resident artists work, or chit chat with them! The student Bai Lai made the works in my pictures- all out of paper! Unfortunately, they were not in when I went but I was very moved. Don't forget to stop by the bathrooms for pamphlets on what's going on in the art scene, theatre scene and exhibits...
