Dollar Tree — Local services in Houston

I am leaving a one star review to leadership. The manager was yelling at an employee, putting her down, and humiliating her instead of coaching her. It was a Hispanic lady towards an African American young lady. The young lady was being open to the coaching, but the manager was being abusive. I interfered. I requested her to please stop mistreating her. She knows she was being mean because she used a completely different tone towards me. But did not apologize. She was mediocre and said “this is how I talk to her”. Then she rudely waved her hand at me like I was a bug she was shushing and turned her body away from me saying “whatever”. This person lacks employability skills and does not need to be in any leadership position at all. The young lady deserved to be treated as a human in her workplace. What I witnessed was unacceptable. Another customer said “thanks for saying something”. So, it was noticeable how she was abusing that employee.

Good leaders know that you can provide feedback without being rude. They know you build your employees up so they take good care of your customers. Anxiety decreases...

This is my favorite dollar tree until the last couple of times the new girl has an attitude issue, she acts like she don't want to be at work this is my second time experiencing her nasty behavior I didn't want to get in her line as soon as she seen the other cashier walk off to help a customer that's when she decides to walk off and leave register to put stuff back but she seen me there ready for purchase this is the second time , first time she didn't smile face tore up grabbing my items with an attitude was offensive . This particular dollar tree is very welcoming and friendly staff GET RID OF HER she is in the wrong community with her terrible disposition, I actually pulled over to give this review , she rubbed me wrong today this was her second time. I shop here so much, it's ridiculous lol. And one thing I can say is the staff here are so friendly. I never get anyone who is rude. They always greet you when you walk in the door, they hold conversations as they check you out, they're so polite. Usually everything is stocked but I think they have been affected a bit by the pandemic and distribution issues such as every other store. You can find just about anything here. No matter what you are looking for. I like using a lot of different things for my crafting. The only update is recently all prices changed from $1 to $1.25. Some things are worth it while others I can get for less. They don't have the freezers here with frozen food though and sometimes the lines can get long. But overall, great store and great location. Just don't expect to find parking. This shopping strip is always very busy beginning by 10-11am, no...
