This is a terrible nail salon. You would need to choose the right technician. The technician I had did a fill and a toe nail polish change. While she was doing the fill the nail was already lifting I asked her to fix it she said that she couldn't. I originally got my nails done in Washington DC a week before they barely needed a fill they were literally perfect and cost less to get a full set! I asked for natural almond shape she failed at that. I asked her to clean up my cuticle before filling she said she would with an attitude and failed to do that. I asked her to kindly do not speak over me or have a attitude because I am the customer and asking very politely to do things that should automatically come with the service. At the end of the service she did not pass me my shoes she didn't say thank you for your time nothing just walked away.
I then told the front desk and they gave me 5% off. I told them to have a conversation with her because she was very rude for no reason. Now currently 4 days later from the service I call the nail salon and complain about my nails lifting and falling off due to her putting so much acrylic and not fulfilling the request of natural nails. I explain I am on vacation in Italy which I take vacations every month and for $100 this is unnexceptable. They responded they wouldn't be able to do anything but for me to come back in even though I told them that I am on a 1-2 week vacation. They said we can't prove what you have been doing with your nails and if you're on vacation or not. Mind you I asked for a partial refund or something. He said the only thing he can do is if I come in within the 10 days I said can you put in the notes that I will not be back within that time because I complained that day as well. If I could I would go back becausw I live right down the street I would have no problem doing that but that is terrible customer service to say someone is lying about their nails and being on vacation lol I also offered to send pics of me being on vacation and my current nails she ruined. I got hung up on. I will not be returning and I hope they take better care of their customers cause this was a terrible first experience to...
Read moreWhen I moved to Houston, I reviewed 10 different salons and settle for this one because of their reviews and my first time experience there! Lyly was amazing! Very friendly, very detailed and extremely respectful! I recommended this place to all of the Juris Doctorate candidates that loved my nails! I've been a regular there since I moved here. Sadly I don't think I will be returning! I came early last month for removal and a manicure! The technician convinced me to go with shellac for it will protect my nails since I had acrylic for a few months. Although she charged me more, I paid for it. A day later, the polish came off some of my nails and the rest broke off. I went back the last week of last month for a full set and pedicure. 1: I got charged $5 extra to remove the polish three shellac polish that didn't came off from my previous manicure. 2: I got charged $5 extra to remove the polish I had on my toes from my previous pedicure. 3: I was charged $5 extra because I didn't want my nails square but coffin instead. (I mean come on, she was going to shape them square to begin with? What's the difference?) 4: another $5 extra for polish choice.. I understand the nail technicians need to get pay for their work but this is ridiculous!!! I was charged all of that extra fee but my nails look terrible! Most of my nails were uneven, the technician was so sloppy, I left there with glue and acrylic all over my finger. Some of my nails are thick and some of them are very thin. I'm very disappointed!
UPDATE 9.7.18 I went back and made sure that Lily is the only person that touch my nails, eyebrows, and lashes. I have no complaints in regard to her!...
Read moreI normally use the Katy Pallazzio location but decided to use this one in a pinch. They are almost 30 miles from my home, but they are one of the few places that offer Gel-X, and they have a 10 day repair warranty.
I asked for square round nails, which the technician applied. After she was done, she informed me that normally, there would be an upcharge because the nail shape was considered coffin, which is apparently more expensive, and that there should also be an upcharge for the long length (see pic; they're neither coffin-shaped nor especially long) but that she was going to cut me a break and not charge me. Again, she told me these things AFTER my nails were finished--never mentioned a thing before she did them. Considering the normal gel-x is already a hefty $70, I was thankful.
However, when I went to check out, I was charged $85. When I questioned the cashier, I was told that was the price of the service I was given. I have never paid more than $70 at the Katy location.
Fast forward to a week later and three nails were lifting at the cuticle. I drove back to the salon only for the tech to apply acrylic nail glue under the lifting nails instead of re-doing them! I was shocked because my regular location would never take such a short cut. When I voiced my concern and that I had actually tried the glue method myself with a previous Gel-X manicure and it didn't last, she informed me I just "hadn't done it right" and sent me on my way.
Two days later and guess what? One of the "repaired" nails is already lifting again. For $85 plus tip, I expect my manicure to last more than 11 days. Next time I will wait for availability at the...
