I go to UPS stores frequently b/c i buy too much stuff on amazon and have to make returns in order to afford rent (a bit of an exaggeration). not sure if and how much amazon pays ups for these returns, but at many of the other locations, my returns seem to be a frustration of the employees on duty... ie. i get the impression they do not like handling returns, and i do not feel welcome. at this location, it is the opposite. maybe i/ we am/ are nuisance(s) , but they do not show it. they all have such a great attitude. today i went in for a notary. Of course, there was a line out the door (as i suspect others prefer coming to this location b/c of the excellent customer service), but the line did not take too long. When i arrived at the counter, i was a bit worried only ' employee x' was allowed to notarize the document, and that employee x only worked 9-10am on tuesdays (or some non-sense like this). turns out, the person i ended up with could notarize my document (as a matter of fact, i think everyone on duty can notarize, as i was told that the store owner paid for everyone to take the training and test, which i do not think is that cheap- so props to the store owner for empowering employees/ development opportunities).
long story short, even though parking has become extremely limited (as if the neighbors are doing everything possible to make it more difficult for this UPS to do business- 1. the bicycle path took away one of the 4 or so parking spots in the front & 2. the big signs on the parking lot on the south side of the building that says 'No parking for UPS - violators will be towed at owner's expense'), this UPS continues to be the consistently busiest one i have ever been to, and yet i still will drive a little further to go to this one. Strongly recommend.
oh.. i almost forgot to mention one of my favorite new additions.... there is a kiosk for amazon returns, so rather than waiting the 2 minutes or so in line, now you can get in an out even sooner... seems like Chicfila may have a run for its money in terms of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI completely understand the need for social distancing and I did not mind waiting in line outside and keeping six feet from other customers. I appreciate that the UPS store set up a sign and kept customers out of the shop. HOWEVER, what I do mind is the poorly stocked store and the snarky, lousy attitude displayed by the "customer service representative" who was short and rude. Sorry you don't want to be at work, pal. I was hesitant to even approach the counter, as the rep was only wearing one glove and no mask, unlike his other co-workers. When I asked if there was a padded envelope to fit my needs ( I was mailing a flat object 10" x 8" ) instead of even checking inventory, he just said "What you see is what you get." and pointed to a stack of huge padded envelopes that were much, much larger...like 2'x3'. Okaaaaay....any other options? "No. You want it or not?" Great. These are stressful times. I think it is important to be polite, even when you don't want to be polite in order to keep the wheels turning. I wanted to talk to the manager, but there were other people waiting outside. I did not want to gum up the works by speaking to a manager about this fellows clear lack of professionalism, which was overwhelmingly apparent by his tone and general annoyance at even the simplest of questions. I could go on, because it did not stop there...but I think I have made my point. I will NEVER go to that UPS store again. I gave this store two stars, because the other employees were wearing PPE and the store itself, although poorly stocked and none too tidy, were at least taking social distancing precautions. Suffice to say that if one of my employees spoke to one of my customers like that, he would not be employed long. I get better service at the post office for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe absolute worst experience ever. Iāve been renting with them for a few years and I must say the service has gotten worse. The staff is usually somewhat friendly but there are days when Linda has a nasty attitude.
In the past 12 months the package delivery has gotten terrible. I pay for overnight shipping for items for my business that are delivered at 8am when I come in at 6:30pm they still havenāt been sorted. On many occasions Iāll receive a notice my package is ready for pick up and when I arrive Iām told it hasnāt been sorted or they canāt find it. Whatās even worse is when Iām expecting multiple packages from different providers and I receive an email saying I have two packages from UPS. Itās problematic because if Iām expecting 2 from UPS and 1 from fedex but youāve only sorted 1 from fedEx and 1 UPS but label them both from UPS Iām sent back home to return the next day for a package that was already there but I was told wasnāt.
There are also times where a package is delivered and signed for by them and they will swear up and down it was never delivered and treat you like your crazy only to find the package was there the entire time.
Iāve also received alerts and slips on my box for packages that arenāt even mine or the tracking info on the slip is for an entirely different package.
It is completely disorganized in there.
I will say there have been times when there is a guy from another store comes to assist when the main package sorter is out and the organization all the way down from when the package was revived to the notification to your pick up is flawless. Iāve often hoped that he was taking over permanently but one...
