Henry's Barber Shop — Local services in Houston

Now this is my first google review and I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to getting haircuts as I’ve always had really curly hair I’ve not really known what to do do with. I was in desperate need of a haircut as I am about to start a new job next week. The gentleman that cut my hair has 35 years of experience and asked me exactly the questions relevant to what I needed done and then also noticing the shape my hair was in, gave me recommendations for some products that would work as far as managing the dryness that has been a constant in my hair for awhile now. The cut worked awesomely to give my hair a much needed cleaner, managed look. Needless to say I was very satisfied with the final result and walked away with a better understanding of what I could use to keep my hair in some better shape. As stated in some other reviews this is a no nonsense shop and cash only so you might need to go next door for the atm to pull out some cash. My only regret is that I didn’t have more cash on me...

Henry's Barbershop is a fantastic place to get a great haircut at a reasonable price. Good luck finding another place around the city that charges only $15 for a haircut AND does a good job.

I've been to other haircut spots, such as Cutthroat, Big Katz, and a few generic Supercuts locations. Henry's beats all of them. I actually got to meet Henry personally. He is very friendly and listens to what you want done, not like some barbers who think your hair should look a different way than what you want. No BS, just a great haircut and a chill atmosphere.

Had moved to the area and needed a barber to cut my hair. I went about three times while I was letting my hair grow. The last time I stopped by, I arrived about 30 minutes before they closed. The barber saw me there waiting while he cut someone's hair. After the guy was done, he went to the back and came back. I sat in the chair and he had a very nasty attitude. He asked how short did I want the sides. Then he gives more attitude about how I arrived so late and stopped cutting my hair. He said that I would have to just come back tomorrow. Very rude old man.
