I’ve never experienced such unprofessional and outright rude behavior from a store manager in my life. Sherry, the manager at the HomeGoods in Willowbrook Shopping Center, treated me with complete disrespect during my recent visit.
While I was shopping — 25 minutes before closing — Sherry screamed at me across the store in an extremely rude tone, refused to assist me with a very heavy item, and even used bad language, calling me out of my name in a completely unacceptable manner. She demanded that I leave the store because they were “getting ready to close,” despite there being plenty of time left for shopping.
When I made it to the register, the cashier was kind enough to apologize repeatedly for Sherry’s behavior, but I told them there was no need to apologize for her unprofessional conduct — it wasn’t their fault.
After this terrible experience, I contacted corporate and the store directly to report the incident. Not only did no one follow up with me, but the store staff also refused to give me Sherry’s name. I had to find it through my receipt after calling back the next night. Even then, the staff I spoke with were rude and dismissive.
This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable and not what I expect from a store like HomeGoods. Management should be held to a much higher standard of customer service. I’m extremely disappointed and will think twice about shopping at this...
Read moreWorst ever. I bought a small side table with a marble top. What I didn't know is that the marble top was not attached. All the screws to attach the top were removed. Home Goods Manager REFUSED to take it back because she said it was fine when I bought it. The problem was that the marble top was not mounted to the top and all the screws were removed. I found this out 30 minutes later when I go home. I paid $60 for a defective product and they are saying it's my fault, even accusing me of taking out the screws. Why would I do that? I thought the marble top would be attached and it wasn't. I called within 45 minutes to report what happened and now it's a nightmare, the district manager has to get involved to give me back my money or credit for a defective product, and the worse things is that, they claimed it was my fault. I had no idea there were screws to attach it to the base. The screws were removed. I will never recommend anyone shopping there. Big shopping carts, isles way too close, it's a not a good shopping experience. And, customer service, there isn't any. I waited 20 minutes in line and 1 lane open. Unbelievable. Go some place else. Don't waste your...
Read moreNot happy with the Willow brook store, I always call about an item they post on IG or on line and they always hold stuff for me and I go get it. But today when I get there no items on hold and someone else is claiming it, I even gave my name when I called so I didn’t understand now when the manager is telling me that they don’t hold stuff and that they never did, that’s a big lie because they did several times for me. And right when he’s telling me that they don’t hold stuff he’s taking stuff from customers and holding them at the front of the store, that’s called holding if they don’t pay for the items and you keep it until they do. So just for that you lost a regular customer, even though it probably doesn’t matter to that manager who told me “you can show me all the pictures you want it’s not gonna make a difference because I was showing an item that they hold for me at the same store and I came for it and got it. They had stuff at the front with yellow sticky note’s that they where...
