Update: I spoke with the GM of this location who seemed sympathetic and willing to make things right.
DO NOT GO TO THE SALON: I scheduled a haircut with the Salon over a week in advance. The day before my appointment I missed a call from the store (no voicemail was left). When I called back, I was told that my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to reschedule. I was not given the name of the person I was speaking to or the reason for the cancellation. Fast forward to my "rescheduled" appointment, after waiting for 15 minutes to be spoke to I was told that I was not on the books. The manager promised me a discount when I came back in for my new appointment that was made while I was in the store. When I finally got to sit down for my haircut, the stylist was more concerned with her phone than my hair. I had scheduled a curl-by-curl cut, but she did not even ask me about my hair type and just did the most basic straight-hair cut. She quickly took the cover off of me and tried to send me on my way. I asked her for layers and face framing. She barely added any layers and the face framing was horrible and choppy. She also did not put the cover back on me, leaving me with hair all over my clothes. I realized half way through the service that this person was the same one that "rescheduled" my appointment. I was so disappointed that I simply left. I did receive the discount promised, but i was still charge for the most expensive curl-by-curl service. The SuperCuts stylist I immediately went to to help blend out the nasty job she did costed me 1/3 of the price and came out way better. Went in today hoping to find my to go to eyeliner and brow pencilâsaw that both that I tend to use were out of stock and wanted to ask the associates for some assistance of what theyâd recommend as alternatives since I tend to prefer Ulta over Sephora. No one, absolutely no one approached me or asked me if I needed any help, heck as if they were avoiding me purposely. It wasnât even busy at that time of day, there was like 3-4 of them gathered just talking at the front entrance and I saw numerous ones just standing around in the store. I walked around the store trying to find someone for 5 minutes but whenever I approached someone they scampered off.
As someone who also works with customers and in the retail setting, thatâs just UNACCEPTABLE. Youâre taught to approach/greet customers, heck even read body language whenever someone is obviously needing help and just reassure them that if they need any questions to not hesitate to ask. Yet all the workers there made me feel uneasy, uncomfortable, and just flat out disrespected as a customer that I ended up just leaving completely frustrated.
To add salt to injury: I saw associates helping other customers with no issues that so happened to have makeup on. As someone who had just gotten off work from doing an extremely early open shift, and finally had the time to make a run to Ulta of course Iâm gonna look haggard compared to everyone else. I paid almost $300 and got my hair keratin done from this location and it SUCKS. They look exactly the same before and after the treatment. I went back and asked the manager if this is how it should look like and she said yes this is how it should be.According to her keratin doesnât straighten your hair u still have to use heat everyday. The funny part is when i went back i asked other employees if my hair needed keratin and they said YES because its going to make your hair straight and no more frizzđ.Why would someone spend 7 hours and also get their hair damaged with the heat just for TWO days.The stylist was very nice and sweet I appreciate her hard work but it didnât help me. I talked to a guy who said he is the boss and he said that they cannot do anything because if they give me my money back how will they pay the stylist to which i replied I understand that part but i didn't get the service i paid for. He asked me to wait for 10 minutes and then he sent his rude manager and she said she cannot do anything but can give me 20% discount on my next keratin service.Why would i get it done again and that also from them. They SUCK!! They should focus on giving customers good service not just taking money from them and pitching them extra stuff to make commission.
