It was one of the worst experiences ever with any hair salon in US !!! To make long story short - PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM ! If you late on 10 minutes they will cancel your appointment and make you pay FULL PRICE OF THE SERVICE . No matter what , No excuses !!!! OMG !!! I was driving from Lake Charles LA it is 150ml away , the reception lady called me , and I warned her I’m stuck at the traffic, may late 10-15 minutes. And they still made me pay . I was not ugly with them ,Im good and decent person, I paid the bill , BUT I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THEM ! People, you have to put this fact ( company policy) with big letters on your site , when customers make an appointment, so it’s noticeably !!! Houston is huge , there is a lot of other hair salon all over the city , with good service- I came to you because of my friend recommendation, that’s it , not because you are the best . To treat like this your customers it’s last century thing . Wake up it is 2024 not 90s !!! To whom it’s interesting ( customers) - they just a regular hair salon , nothing special , believe me )) I had haircut with Tony before , he was very good talker and kind , and I made him a compliment about his service , because I wanted to be nice in response… I’m still in shock… it’s very very rare when I put bad reviews. I’m an emcee , I hosted big event that evening, you left me without service just because I was late for 10 minutes- seriously???
Btw I supposed to pay 150$ fee, and they made me a favour , so I paid 73$ for nothing )))) perfect… My last visit just for information, I paid 180$ just for haircut . So you , who read it - think twice before you make an appointment with them )
P.S. So after the administration comment… this is ( the picture from my phone ) your reception person call , it was made at 1.40 pm for the 9 sec , just 3 minutes later I did show up at your place , I told her I was parking . I had an appointment at 1.30 pm , I did show up at 1.43 - but this is not 25 minutes delay as you meant it’s around 15 min only . I was not rude , it’s not true . But I understand, you try to safe your face and protect your business. I did pay , did not I ? Did I yell at someone there , no I didn’t.
All I’m asking you , is to put big red letters on your site about the cancellation thing , so customers be aware. I think people have right to be warned before they make an appointment with you guys .
I don’t think this comment is rude . Being nice and kind to your customers have to be in the first place when you work in service business) I travelled a lot , I never had such kind of experience , I’m sorry you don’t like it , but it’s true.
After I found out that I have to pay full price for the cancellation ( because I’m late for 15 min ) I told that at least you can make me a hair styling , I can survive without haircut , it’s okay , I understand that I’m late , but Tony told me that he started another customer so he can’t give me any service now … well I don’t have any comments about this , let’s people who read this make...
Read moreI had an appointment today with Stephanie for an Olaplex Treatment and style. I was first greeted by Paula, who was pleasant and professional and offered me a tour of the salon and refreshments. My stylist Stephanie was ready for me immediately at my appointment time and at first seemed pleasant and ready to start my service.
After our initial interaction regarding my main concerns for my hair she seemed a bit put off and distracted. When I was taken to the shampoo room, she again asked me what my concerns were and I reiterated that they are moisture and an overall professional and polished look to my hair (shine, no frizz). She proceeds to wash and condition my hair and add a custom treatment to address the mentioned concerns. The wash was pretty lack luster and not what I would expect from a salon of this caliber.
Once completed she states that she’ll meet me at her station to begin styling. Overall, everything up to this point was pretty standard treatment for what you’d expect from a blow dry bar and although I did not ask for a silent appointment she did not engage in any conversation with me. She completes blow drying my hair, which she is skilled, and gentle. No jerking or rough movements to my head and neck or significant tension which was great. At this point she advises me that she is complete and began cleaning up her station.
I interrupt her and advised that I want my hair properly styled, ie. flat ironed and then curled for some body and a complete look. At this point she starts having an attitude and states that I only said I wanted a blow out and that further styling my hair would be an additional cost. Nothing in this world is free, so of course I’m aware this would be an additional cost, which was never a concern.
In addition to that she ask if I have a photo of what style I would like. As an experienced stylist I would have assumed you would have some taste in styling if I advised that I’d like my hair flat ironed and curled.
To wrap this up, she completes my hair in a decent and satisfactory manner, but with an attitude and rushed energy that did not make my appointment enjoyable. She very much conducted herself in an inexperienced and juvenile manner that’s just not acceptable for a salon that based on the location, clientele, and price point. I expected a more elevated level of service and expertise.
I did speak with the manager Chantal regarding this incident and she was extremely professional and understanding. I want to publicly say thank you to her for her willingness to listen and address this incident as a teachable moment for Stephanie.
Overall based on prior reviews this salon has an upstanding reputation and is somewhere to patron for excellent hair services, unfortunately that was not my experience.
Update as of October 2024: Salon owner responded saying they would reach out to me and I’ve never heard from anyone associated with...
Read moreMake sure to check out my photos. The left photo is the AFTER. The right is what I wanted. I'm so disgusted with the lack of professionalism from Tess, the owner. New to the area and booked a color appt here based on the reviews. Booked with a lovely stylist, names Jo, she really was very sweet..but in the end, didn't achieve anything NEAR the look that I asked for. After being there a few hours and in the salon lighting, I said it looked okay but I definitely wanted to come back next time and try to actually darken it like I initially wanted. Jo said "absolutely" and by now I was tired of being there and ready to go. I paid $340. Get home and realize I literally don't see a single difference in the color now. Email before and after photos and ask if I could come back in to get something closer to what I wanted. One of the owners of the salon called me personally and said "Yes, I agree, we definitely didn't succeed in the color you wanted, come in sometime next week!" What do I do? Call today. Then I get a NASTY email from TESS, one of the owners, stating that they will NOT being redoing the color unless I pay another $340, that they were CANCELLING my appointment even though it was at 3pm, and I was 14 minutes away after 40 minute drive, and that since so told JO I liked it, she did her job.
I tried calling to speak to her directly, she told the phone receptionist to tell me no, she would only correspond via email! Am I in twilight zone??! I could not believe the way she was treating me. I was so kind, so sure to say I really liked Jo but the fact is, Jo had to go ask Tess at least 10 times what to do to my hair that day. She needed some guidance. I was so disgusted with how Tess handled it. When I emailed her back saying how disappointed I was in the way she handled all of this, that she wouldn't talk to me over the phone, and that she didn't care what the other told me (I actually forwarded Tess the legitimate voicemail the other owner left me over the weekend to come back in) Tess refused to respond Or reschedule my appointment. I am so disheartened that the unprofessionalism I'm here I was so blatantly hi. I was excited about making things right and finding a new salon in the area since I moved here. Do not take your chances coming to...
