I see it as a total lack of sensitivity and consideration for the people in the neigborhood and the local community that the Montrose Collective owner closed down our beloved jewel of a cafe, Southside Espresso. Such a cute, cozy place, a casual and so friendly and genuine meeting point of so many people living in the surrounding area, sucrificed for the expansion of Ucci and all its pretentiousness. What cruelty and what ignorence of what the East Montrose neighborhood trully represents for the people living here. We are not and we do not want to become another Galleria. As someone who lives 2-3 blocks away I was ready to embrace the Montrose Collective development with its shops and restaurants. But not any more. This one ship spot has a little bit of everything including shopping, coffee, eateries, beauty and relaxing, jewelry, creamery, for plant lovers and so much more! This one stop shop is conveniently in walking proximity to other strips or shops that can make any afternoon filled with much joy! You do have an option to park in the garage or on the street. It’s esthetically pleasing to the eye with clean, eco friendly but rustic modern vibe. There is seating around that you could just enjoy the vibe as you look around and make it a afternoon of eye catching views. I visited once and I was highly impressed. I would love to go back for regular shopping. I Just had a dessert at the ice cream shop. There is a parking garage which takes payment, so plenty of space to park. There is also street parking and valet. It was very busy on a Sunday. We stopped by the candle shop. You can buy or make your own. I saw a couple of restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee shop, clothing shops and many others upstairs. It was a quick visit but I highly recommend...
