I see it as a total lack of sensitivity and consideration for the people in the neigborhood and the local community that the Montrose Collective owner closed down our beloved jewel of a cafe, Southside Espresso. Such a cute, cozy place, a casual and so friendly and genuine meeting point of so many people living in the surrounding area, sucrificed for the expansion of Ucci and all its pretentiousness. What cruelty and what ignorence of what the East Montrose neighborhood trully represents for the people living here. We are not and we do not want to become another Galleria. There is a parking garage which takes payment, so plenty of space to park. There is also street parking and valet. It was very busy on a Sunday. We stopped by the candle shop.
