The Cottage Shop — Local services in Houston

I've been going to Half Price Books recently and unable to find any books that I want to buy. Lo and behold I walk into the Cottage Shop looking for clothes and I end up walking out with a healthy stack of books in my arms and only for 7 dollars!! They have a reading room in the back and my jaw dropped when I saw that they were only selling books for 1 dollar each. I was able to find popular books like Simon and the Homosapien's Agenda and For Love and Lululemons. Friendly staff working hard to get merchandise on the floor quickly. The set up is more boutique feel than thrift and that is impressive. It was clean and very well organized. Clothing & shoes were priced for thrifting other items seemed a bit pricey but they were quality items and the cause is a good one. Plenty of parking. Great place to shop for more professional clothes. I was able to get a vintage pair of jeans that were half off for $7.50. If you’re looking for linen this place has a terrific selection for such low prices! I have to agree with another persons review that there is an African American lady who works there that isn’t very friendly. I’m not sure if it’s the same lady but she wasn’t very friendly to me when I went to try on some clothes.
