Justin D. Slaughter - State Farm Insurance Agent — Local services in Houston

I've been a State Farm customer since the 90s with varying agents in different States. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I can't imagine having an actual claim here.

Pros: He seemed nice when I actually spoke to him Cons: There was never any follow through on actions they were to do. It felt like it was about getting more money from me and not being bothered. I can't imagine having an actual claim here The girl working the phones is incredibly rude and inept

I moved to TX and was switching to a new agent. In the initial estimate, I felt wary because he didn't seem to want to give me prices on any except the highest full. On the second call, he was nicer and I gave him a chance.

I had already paid for the month with my prior agent. I wanted the policy to start at the end of that month. He convinced me to start now and I'd be refunded. He said that he would call my current agent and cancel. He never did.

My price went up by a lot in my second month. They had all of my information so it wasn't a different record than I had stated. The girl on the phone was incredibly rude. I was clearly bothering her by my call. She said she doesn't know the reason and would get back to me.

I gave her a little over a week and called back. She was incredibly rude again. She said that she has no record of my calling prior. Again she said she doesn't know the reason and would call me back.

I gave it a little over a week. I decided to cancel. This place was not a place that I wanted to have a claim. I cancelled with chat but they said the agent had to perform it. I emailed them for a record. It was not canceled. I called. It was not canceled. I checked with the chat agent again. They confirmed it was not canceled. They had been contacting the agent too. The rude girl finally called me one day and said that she has cancelled it.

And then, I started receiving notices for an unpaid bill. They never cancelled it. They were going to allow it to cancel due to non-payment! wth. I emailed. She called back. She had no record of my attempts to cancel. She now says she will cancel both. I'm not holding my breath.

I don't understand how this agent has such high reviews. My experience has been a snake oils salesman with no follow through. I can't imagine a claim with...

I originally went online for a Car Insurance quote to see if I could get a better deal on my car Insurance, since it was time for me to renew. My friend switched to State Farm and talked highly of them, so I thought I'd inquire.

I spoke with Patricia and she was AMAZING!! She answered all my millions of questions and did multiple quotes for me. She not only saved me money, but I had more coverage than my previous policy. She was very professional and very patient with me answering all my questions.

I just got off the phone with Emdy Alvizo (Service Lead) as I informed her that I changed from my former State Farm agent to Justin D. Slaughter. I have never had such great service as I have had from Emdy today! She was kind, professional, a great listener, and showed empathy and understanding for my situation as I had to change my State Farm agent because my former agent never returned my calls, and every time I called, I would only be put into her voicemail.
