I bought a $250 dollars Visa gift card at Kroger located on 10010 Cypresswood Drive on 10/14/2020 and found out the entire amount was used at another Kroger in Humble on 10/15/2020. I contact Visa prepaid and they informed me that I have to go to Kroger to have it rectified. I went to the store on 10/21/2020 to address the situation (prepaid gift card scam) but was told to come back the next day before 1 pm to talk to the bookkeeper. I then contact Visa and was placed on hold for 5.5 hours to speak to the Fraud department. I still did not get through to them and continued to contact them the next morning. I went back on 10/22/2020 to talk to the management team, Phillip. I showed him the receipt and gift card. I asked if they could contact the Humble store to pull surveillance to see if it was an inside job cause it seems very suspicious. He said he will try to talk to the asset loss prevention team. I requested that he email corporate and to CC me in the email so I would know the issue is being addressed and would like a follow-up. He said he cannot and these fraud incidents happen all the time. As a loyal customer of Kroger, I do not want other customers to go through what I experienced. I asked why the R&D (Research and development) team is not working to find or help with the issue. I suggested putting all the gift cards behind the customer service desk so if a clerk ringed it up, we could pinpoint who rang up the transactions. His response, "We cannot put thousands of gift cards behind here. Target, Wal-mart, mall kiosks, and other stores do the same thing." I responded, " Do not assume cause at Costco, you have to bring the cardboard gift card to the register and they get it for you." He replied, "Well I never been to Costco". Even if it is at the mall kiosk, it is behind a counter and you would know which clerk is responsible. He told me it is between Visa and me. The issue is trying to get in contact with Visa. I said, "Even though you are a third party vendor, you would still have a customer relationship with them and there should be a liability." He said, "We tell the customer it is a risk when buying gift cards". Who would buy gift cards after being told that? I told him no clerk instructed me nor there is a sign at the gift cards stands saying, "Beware or be alert when purchasing a gift card or buy at your own risk". He stood there stumbling on his words with no validation. I told him, "I guess Kroger does not care about people's finances, purchases, and would just take consumer's hard-earned working money. In conclusion, Phillip told me, sorry, you just may be at a loss of $250. I am very disappointed with Phillip and Kroger for not implementing improvement on issues that have been reoccurring. Shame...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am disgusted with this location. Not only from my experience tonight but also my experience the end of last year. It is 0046 and I wanted to grab a big bottle of orange juice for a small gathering event that Iām having at my home in the Vintage area where I live. I got to the door at 11:58pm and was met there by the new GM (Keith)- short African American male with some type of dress on his head saying āWE ARE CLOSED, WE CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT,ā very rudely. I proceeded to stare, āIT IS 11:58pm.ā He then stared, āYOU CAN SEE IF THE WILL LET YOU IN.ā I run in the door confused to who this guy, with this white button up and tan sash across his shoulder, was because Iāve lived in this area for a long time now and havenāt ever seen him there before. I grab my orange juice and I get to the self checkout and something goes wrong to where the light starts to blink (meaning help is needed). He proceeded to stare at me for 2mins before walking up to me to ask if I needed any help or what was wrong. He stated, āIs it not working? (before he would even walk up and check himself). I stated, āIām not sure.ā Then he went to his register and said, āBRING IT TO ME,ā angrily. It caught me by surprise how rude he was being. So I brought it to him then he scanned the item and I paid. I proceeded to ask him if he was new and he shook his head no and wouldnāt acknowledge me any longer because he was through with me and called for the last customer there that night with me. I will make sure that he gets retrained if not more. Maybe he needs to go back to wherever he was working before. Corporate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is by far the WORST Kroger I have been too. I recommend doing yourself a favor and driving to the nearby HEB or Fiesta. Not a Fiesta fan but anything is better than shopping at this Kroger. I went in the previous night for a few things and found 2 containers of moldy bread. I informed an employee which looked at me puzzled not sure of what to do with the moldy items. I continued shopping and found brown bacon on top of good packs of bacon. It seemed like the bad products were just being pushed up front for ppl to buy. I was dumbfounded. It was crazy you hear on the intercom that every dept must have someone walk through their departments and make sure everything is fresh. I saw no such employee doing any of that. I tried again today on my lunch break but for one employee it was a bad time she asked me to get out of the section 3 times because she needed to clean and fill a display. I left without buying anything. The lady was rude I was looking for christmas cookies that were in the clearance section the night before. But she exclaimed I'm just trying to clean and I'm doing my best. I thought maybe she thought I had said something but I hadn't. Since she spoke to me I asked if she new were the cookies went. She stated if its a cookie it's not my department. I continued browsing at the toys but she followed me and said to more times she can't clean the shelves because she is afraid I will hurt myself with the boxes she had scattered on the floor. She only said all this after the manager told me to feel free to browse and he had now...
