My review is a long one, get ready. On August 27th, 2024 Bergstrom Mazda Green Bay almost let me leave after paying 121 dollars and change without ever having my car worked on or moved an inch. If it wasn’t for my gut telling me something was incredibly wrong about the situation, I would have left with my car as I had already paid and was essentially, free to go. My “inspection video” I received was of a car with a different license plate than my own, and in a different color so obviously not my vehicle. After I told the employee checking me out he went back and talked to the technicians, who made up some B.S. story about a “broken iPad that doesn’t charge correctly & lost her inspection video”. These “technicians” then came out to where my car was and took an inspection video of my car parked on the ground, still had not moved an inch from when I arrived & that is what I received for my video. These “techs” LOOKED ME IN MY EYES KNOWING they had not worked on my car, flat out LYING and were going to send me on my way. After I got my receipt I walked out to my car and did my own 360 degree walk around. I IMMEDIATELY noticed my back windshield was dirty where my wiper doesn’t reach, bird poop on various places throughout my car, and a few leaves caught in the bottom of my front windshield. If my car had been properly washed, none of those things should be apparent! & no new oil change sticker!! The employee who checked me out noticed and came out to ask if everything is okay and after I voiced my concerns that my car had not been moved since I arrived, still looked dirty even though I was told it had gotten a “complimentary car wash” and no new oil change sticker in my upper left hand corner, Bergstrom Mazda GB employees did an official “oil change test” under my hood and determined that I still had old oil in my car. They also checked via my Mazda 2022 CX-5 2.5 S PP AWD computer that showed I was due for an oil change in approx 2,700 miles, NOT what it should have said 7,500 (I checked when I got home.) I was also supposed to get a tire rotation which obviously didn’t happen either. The employees brought me back inside, expressed their deepest sympathy for the situation and having me sitting in their waiting room for an hour for absolutely no reason. They also told me they would comp my bill 100%, and give me a gift card for the inconvenience. They did do those things, I got my money returned back to my credit card and a $20 dollar gift card, which is the ONLY reason why you have been given 2 stars instead of 1. The ONLY. REASON. They did offer me a “loaner car” but I do not live close to the dealership and didn’t want to do all that extra driving so I declined the offer. I then had to wait another whole hour for my oil change, tire rotation, and car wash before I finally got my car back and left 2 hours later. Even though your front staff employees were very professional about the whole situation and apologized so many times I lost count, I still do not feel comfortable coming back to your place of business if those are the people you hire as “technicians”. Ones that will look a customer straight in the eyes and flat out lie, possibly causing me to damage my car in the future when I would have eventually ran out of oil. Yeah being comped 100% was nice, but that’s trust is broken. I can forgive, but I...
Read moreI do not recommend Bergstrom Mazda of Green Bay.
Summary: Purchasing the car was quick and easy. Corbin was great to work with and he has tried to help with the servicing issues as best he could.
However, I have had a very frustrating experience getting the car serviced. Since purchasing a vehicle is a one-time event whereas servicing the vehicle will occur throughout the duration of ownership, I do not recommend this dealership.
Full story: Purchasing the vehicle was quick, easy, and convenient. I worked with Corbin. He sold me what I wanted, didn't pressure me into buying more than what I needed and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Corbin.
Servicing the vehicle has been an entirely different experience and that is the reason for the low rating. You purchase the vehicle once but service it for years so you would expect the servicing department to be top notch, but this is not the case.
When I purchased the vehicle, there were two cosmetic issues that we wrote up as free replacement under the original purchase of the vehicle. I waited four weeks before the parts finally arrived due to a slew of issues (ordered wrong parts, delivery delays, etc.) At the scheduled appointment, I waited 30 minutes to be helped and was bounced around between three different people before finally getting to the right person. After waiting an additional hour for the parts to be installed, I get the car back and saw that only one of the two parts was installed, and the other part was still in a bag on the passenger seat. This uninstalled part was for the outside of the car. Meaning I had to wait longer while they installed the second part.
When I was sold the car, I was told by two different salespersons that the car came with Apple CarPlay. I could not get it working so I had the dealership take a look. I have been working with a person named Jordan. Jordan and the technicians at Mazda confirmed that Apple CarPlay is not installed. Something they said they have not seen before. Even after showing them that my particular model is capable of having Apple CarPlay, I was told they are unsure if they can install it.
I also brought to the attention of the service department that the door clicks when opened and they noted there is a bad pin on the door check. They sprayed half a can of lubricant on the door check which only made the clicking louder. I was told that they will order a pin and call me when it is ready, in the meantime they will also look into the Apple CarPlay issue. Five weeks have passed since then.
I have called Mazda twice and spoken with Jordan both times. I am being told the pin is still on order with no expected delivery date. They will not look further into the Apple CarPlay issue until I bring the car in for the pin replacement. I have owned this car since early August and as of today, I still have a bad door catch and features I was promised are missing or do not work.
All of this said, the dealership makes purchasing the car quick and easy. Corbin was great to work with and he has tried to help with the servicing issues as best he could.
However, since purchasing a vehicle is a one-time event whereas servicing the vehicle will occur throughout the duration of ownership, I have not had a great experience with the servicing department and therefore do not recommend...
Read moreI'm very disappointed with the used jeep I bought from bergstrom Mazda. It wasn't serviced properly before I purchased it. As soon as I drove it off the lot, it started having acceleration issues and it would jerk in and out of gears at random times while driving on the highway. There's also a knocking or rattling noise coming from underneath the rear of the jeep whenever I'm turning corners. And there's a loud clunking sound from the suspension whenever I go over bumps. The spoiler came lose on one side and caused paint damage and chipping from the spoiler knocking against the roof of the car. They fixed the spoiler but didn't even try to fix the paint chipping. All they did was give me a paint pen to color it in.
I noticed paint bubbling on the rear back panels. When I asked if they could fix it, they said "that can't be fixed, that's a natural process that just happens." I know from experience that it can be easily fixed.
They serviced my jeep, they said it needed a tune up and new struts. They did the repairs and called me back saying they're still trying to locate the knocking noise. Then after about a week, they called and said it was fixed and that I could pick it up. As soon as a drove it, the knocking and clunking noise was worse than before. I called them back right away and said my jeep wasn't fixed. So now I have to bring it back in today to have them try and fix it again.
I'm so unhappy with my purchase. I don't even want the vehicle anymore. It seems like they sold me a lemon. UPDATE. it's only been 8 months and my heat exchanger broke. The jeep is permanently stuck in 4 wheel drive. They were never able to fix the rattling sound coming from the back. It's true. They do not inspect their used vehicles before they sell them. The horn didn't even work when I got the jeep but it said it was operational on the window sticker. I'll give 5 stars if they ever decide to...
