I have had any number of terrible experiences here. The first, I bought a standard set of Martin acoustic guitar strings (~$6 anywhere forever & ever) they charged me something like $12, pretty much double the cost of anywhere else. I did call them on it and they tried to act like they were some special new strings (they weren't). The next time, I asked for a set of 12 string acoustics. They gave me "Vinci" brand(?) which nobody has ever heard of. However, the set was pieced together, incomplete, and incorrect. There was literally a human hair intertwined with one of the strings. I was buying them to use the guitar that night, which I then couldn't, seeing as how it wasn't a set of strings. I returned and explained the situation, they said I had to come back when the owner was there. Turns out every "set" of these ghetto brand strings was incorrect and pieced together. As a result, he gave me a replacement ELECTRIC guitar string for my 12 string acoustic. Three strikes of mega-failure; sorry guys but just go somewhere else if you actually want something...
Read moreExtraordinary quality and workmanship on a recent project. I took two distressed Martin "rescue" guitars that I was rebuilding and had hit my limit of competence. I took them in to Western Reserve in Hudson for neck and bridge setting and final assembly. What I got back was breathtaking in quality and playability. I will take other guitars to them with complete confidence. They were open and communicative through the entire process. When they found out some mistakes I had made, they contacted me and explained the need for extra work and time, which I agreed to, and I am completely happy with their communication and workmanship, and the final results are a true joy. They...
Read moreHorrible, horrible service. They may be convenient, but don't be fooled...the service and attention to customers are horrible.
First of all, our 30 min guitar lessons for our 2 boys would typically start 10 minutes late, and the n finish 5-10 minutes early, so the instructors could stand around and talk to each other. VERY unprofesional, and we paid for a lot of 30 minutes lessons that lasted 10-15 minutes.
2nd, we cancelled our music lessons for our 2 boys in Sept. 2012, due to this unprofessional behavior. They continued billing us for 2 months, and to this day have refused to credit back our CC. We are having to dispute it through the Credit card company. They could care less at this place.
Do yourself a favor, and save yourself the stress...go to DeMarco's music on the other...
