My friends and I were planning on visiting a nearby Mexican restaurant thought we could try 3 Palms instead.
We should have stuck to the Mexican restaurant.
When we arrived there was only one party of 3 ahead of us. We signed in for FIRST AVAILABLE and the girl told us 20-30 minutes and the text we received from their yelp reservation app said 10-15 minutes.
So we waited ...... and waited for about 30 minutes while noticing there were several other parties that walked in with no reservation or anything and they were seated before we were. Maybe 3 - 4 groups of people.
When we approached the girl and then a guy both high school aged kids that seemed to care less about what we had to say, they said it will still be some more time.
At this point there were 5 tables that were empty.
Finally we asked a bar tender what the deal was and she said they are getting a table ready for you.
This was about an hour into our supposed 20-30 minute wait.
When we were seated the male host didn’t even welcome us or apologize for the wait. He kind of brushed it off with no eye contact and told us that a 6 - 8 person round table was ours. The table that was wide open for the past 45 minutes.
After being seated we did not see a server until another 20 minutes or so.
Reliving this experience I changed the rating from a 3 to a 2 mainly because of the welcome we didn’t receive and the long unnecessary wait.
When Elana ( Russian server ) approached us she saved the restaurants butt. She was warm and welcoming and apologized for something that was not even her fault. The host didn’t even tell her that she had a table that is why she didn’t come to our table for 20 minutes or so after we were seated. Elana made the experience plesent and if the owners observed their dinner service she was great. The male and female high schooler hosts were probably paid minimum wage and cared less for being there because mommy and daddy gave them everything they wanted but they had to go out and do something even if they sucked at it.
Moving on to the food.
It was great. I would go into detail but it’s Pizza. There is so much you can rave about Pizza.
Note to the owners or managers if there was even one there present. Get in the floors and get out of the kitchen. Interact with your guests and patrons. Keep your front line staff in check. So you don’t receive reviews like this.

Read moreI’ve been here four times and the food has been good, but service has been inconsistent and the service from my last visit was aggravating enough to stop me and my wife from returning.
It was about 2:30 on a Saturday and there were just a few people in the restaurant, so it wasn’t busy—a perfect time, we thought, to be there before our daughter had to leave for work.
Our waitress started off being very pleasant when she dropped off our menus, but when she came to take our orders 15 minutes later, the oddest thing happened: she asked us what we wanted to order, but as soon as my wife asked our daughter and her girlfriend if they wanted a salad, the waitress abruptly walked away without taking any orders and said she was going to get a box for another table—so bizarre!
But the oddity and the annoyance didn’t end there. We waited and waited for her to return to our table to take our orders. More than 15 minutes went by and we watched our server on her cellphone, then talk to who we assumed might be a manager because we’ve seen him there before. I got tired of waiting. I got up from our table and walked up to the bakery counter where they were talking and asked our server if she had forgotten about us. “No, I’ll be right there,” she said.
It was so annoying to be there for so long and not even have placed an order when the place wasn’t even busy that it set an awkward tone for our meal. The server lightened up when she dropped off our check and tried to smooth things over by explaining that the shift change was ‘so crazy’ that day. Perhaps it was, but it really made us feel like we were nonexistent and there was no sense of contrition for a rough visit that would...
Read moreThe pizza is very good. Nice thin crust, well cooked, good sauce and cheese. There's not a lot of good pizza around and this is great. The atmosphere of the restaurant inside and the patio are very nice. Great rustic vibe with a big open space inside. There are some issues though. The staff was very nice both times I went, however the service itself was a little hit or miss. I went for lunch and one of five people did not get their meal until everyone else was already done eating. This is a major mess-up. If we had seen the server sooner, we'd have told them to forget about the missing dish, but the server's visits were pretty infrequent. The grated cheese is also an issue. Please buy some pecorino Romano or reggiano from Costco and use that, whatever they use is like flavorless sawdust. Another time I came they had a special which was a pasta with hot sausage and orange zest- this was inedible, it tasted like orange juice and I literally could not taste the sausage due to the overwhelming orange. That was a major miss but it was a special so maybe just a fluke. They also serve the bread plate with the Italian bread sitting in balsamic glaze (yikes). Put the glaze on the side if you must, but every piece of Italian bread should not have glaze on it! The olive oil for dipping was good, and the bread itself was pretty good for the area (it's very hard to find good bread here). The crust is paper thin, if it were thicker and crustier the bread would be perfect (see awake and bake nearby for reference). Overall I'd probably give three stars if not for the uniquely good pizza. I'd come back repeatedly...
