unfortunately I never thought i'd be leaving this review. I love open door but the experience I had today was unbelievable. I ordered a drink, and there was a simple mix up/ miscommunication about which drink was mine. A very nice man with long blonde hair brought out an iced caramel latte and gave it to me so I assumed it was mine and began to drink it. 2 minutes later an extremely rude woman who worked there, middle aged, with mid length blonde hair began screaming at me and accusing me of stealing a drink and saying everything was my fault and continued yelling at me. The man with the long blonde hair assured me it was ok and not worry, but the woman was extremely rude. I didn't catch his name but the man with the long hair deserves a raise for his patience. I am so disappointed at the way the woman handled this situation I felt very attacked and mistreated, this is not what I expected from one of my favorite...

My mom and I VERY much enjoyed their iced mocha and iced chai latte.
The chai was not too sweet and nicely spiced - very refreshing! Didn’t mocha was one of the best mochas I’ve ever had. They did not skimp on the chocolate, and it was definitely a dark chocolate flavor (rather than sweet milk chocolate). Despite the strong chocolate flavor, the coffee was not lost! It was the most rich and decadent, yet refreshing and not-too-sweet mocha I’ve had. Wonderful! I would absolutely got both again, in a heartbeat. I’ll be back anytime I’m in Hudson again!
Their selection of muffins and cookies was good - some unique options and some standard. The rustic/quirky interior was charming and two people were happily working on their laptops.
All in all, Open Door is SO cute and delicious. Please give em a try and support small...
Read moreLove the atmosphere. Cute location. Coffee is fine, but whether it's covid policy carried over or what, you cannot customize your coffee to how you like it because the cream and sugar are behind the counter. And if the staff doesn't listen to your request, you essentially get what you don't want. It's a bad setup with little explanation that makes sense. The establishment gets what it wants by telling you what you want and you--unless you take your coffee black or get lucky, take what you're given. I was a batista back in the day and getting your customers what they want is the bottom line goal. Open Door fails to do that and in my experiences there, that is far more the rule than the exception. It's too bad because there is a lot to like here, but it's the little things that spoiled this for me and in this aspect, it's an ongoing...
