I recently hosted a celebratory lunch at Nardos for my daughter's college graduation, inviting a total of eleven guests. Regrettably, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, it became evident that the restaurant was understaffed, with only one server attempting to manage the entire dining area. Despite her efforts, the lack of support led to delays and a sense of neglect among our party. However, the most disappointing aspect of our visit was the quality of the food. My daughter ordered Paccheri Lobster, but upon taking a bite, she was met with an overpowering and repulsive odor The lobster was evidently spoiled, an unacceptable oversight for any establishment.
The manager's response to this issue was lackluster at best. Despite our complaint, he initially avoided addressing the matter altogether, necessitating my personal intervention. Even then, his resolution was minimal, merely removing the lobster from our bill without offering an alternative dish.
Furthermore, the manager's attempt to shift blame onto the server by deducting the service charge was both unjust and unprofessional. It was evident that the issue lay with the quality control of the kitchen, not the diligent efforts of the serving staff. This experience left my daughter feeling disgusted and unwilling to continue with our planned celebrations.
I must stress that our dissatisfaction does not extend to our server, who, despite the challenging circumstances, provided attentive service. Consequently, we ensured she received a gratuity exceeding over 20%. In conclusion, our visit to Nardos was marred by spoiled food, and inadequate management response. I find it regrettable that such an establishment failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality and...
Read moreI took my 89 year old mother here telling her how good this new restaurant was and we were excited to try there pizza's. We ordered 2 Ice Tea's, 1 Calamari and shrimp, 1 smoked Salman and 1 Capriccioso Pizza. We asked the Waiter for splendor or any sugar free for mom's tea because my mother is diabetic. The Waiter brought us back sugar and said this is all we have. We then was served a few thin slices of bread and no butter on the side or olive oil with some vinegar as we expected. I had to request that along with another plate to put the bread on. We did enjoy the calamari and shrimp and was excited to get our pizza and I thought I was going to get my smoked salmon at least with some bruschetta bread or something to put it on. Instead I received a very large plate with smoked salmon in the middle of this plate just sitting in the middle with a few capers in it. I was not sure what this was. Very bad presentation! The pizza was so small, wet and very thin like a crepe with very little on it. We tried to just eat one piece but it was so wet and under cooked we had to roll it to try to eat it. I just asked for a box because I did not want to upset my mom and paid the bill. I saved my receipt and called the manager this morning to see if he would at least take back this pizza that I saved and all he had to say was sorry your pallet did not like our food. There is nothing I can do about this but next time you come in I will make the pizza for you. I do not plan on ever going back and I am real sure it they continue on this road this business' will not make it. Over priced, small portions, under seasoned, and the worse pizza I have ever had. I write this in hopes that they correct these issues and that no one else has...
