We recently stayed at 7 Pines Creekside and left there talking about how much fun we had and can't wait to come back again in the future.
The property inside and out is incredible. On the outside there is a huge driveway, pickle ball court, endless areas to sit around and hangout with your friends and family, a huge backyard patio with a jacuzzi and a built in BBQ overlooking Strawberry Creek. The property is also dog friendly. There is a fence around the property and you can close the front entrance gates which was great since we we were able to let our dogs wonder about pretty much our entire stay.
Inside each of the two houses (they share a wall but are completely separate), the details in each of the rooms are amazing. The bedrooms are spacious and the common areas (living room and kitchens) are very welcoming and instantly become the place for everybody to hang out. The kitchen appliances are a chef's dream and they had everything we could imagine needing for cooking for even something like a family reunion or a Christmas dinner. In the living room there was what must have been a 75 or 80" tv that had all of our favorite streaming services already connected.
The property is a 5 or so minute walk to town. The town has several little shops, markets and restaurants. We tried the pizza at the Idyllwild Pizza Company and it was pretty good. For the most part we ended up going to the market and buying steaks and other things to make back at the house. The restaurants all seemed to get pretty crowded so I would imagine it might be worth trying to make reservations if possible.
Idyllwild is such a short distance from LA and yet such a different vibe. Everybody we talked to was really nice and welcoming. Our kids and dogs all seemed to enjoy it so we'll definitely be coming back...
Read moreWe had such an incredible time at 7 Pines Creekside. We have just spent 3 days and 3 nights here (midweek) and it has been the most relaxing get-away in a truly luxurious mountain home.
We tried to make the most of things but still weren't able to get around to playing pickleball which was definitely planned!. We took advantage of several of the restaurants that were walking distance from the 7 Pines Creekside - our favorites were the breakfast recommendations - especially the Red Kettle & Mama's Egg House.
Everything about this place is 5-Star! And clearly a gifted interior designer was behind the way it is furnished. Having been in a number of mountain rentals, often corners are cut and cheaper quality items are utilized. NOT HERE!!! Everything was deluxe - down to even the To-Go coffee mugs. Fully-equipped would be an understatement.
We enjoyed the jacuzzi a number of times, we walked, we enjoyed a couple of the creeks, and we even hiked up Tahquitz Peak one morning - a 9-mile+, 2300 foot adventure.
It was an ideal place for us to retreat to and we definitely want to come back.

Read moreWe had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend and it definitely did not disappoint. Pulling up to the front gate you immediately notice how tucked away it is, well off the street so you don't hear any road noise at all. Walking through the front door was a joy, I couldn't believe the finishes in this place as they were better than most homes I've been in. Every detail of the house has been carefully thought out from the well appointed kitchen, to the super comfy sofa and the 65' TV in the living room. If all this wasn't enough, each of the 4 bedrooms in the main house were done to make you feel calm and relaxed, the beds were so comfortable we slept like babies. Each of the bathrooms are spacious and well appointed with high end faucets and fixtures, they definitely did not skimp here. Then we get to the outside, waking up and having coffee on the back deck was so quiet and peaceful, all we heard were birds chirping, the breeze blowing and the creek. The pickleball court out front made the day go by quick as we all had a blast. Give this place a try, you won't be...
