Earth 'N' Fire — Local services in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

Reposting my review because for some reason it wasn’t showing up.

First I’d like to say that I did not post my review in anger or “to take out my anger”. I was disappointed, I scheduled an appointment almost a month ahead made the drive up to Idyllwild about 1 1/2 hours drive and got to the business and it was closed I wasn't notified that they were closed and reached out and get the bad news with what seemed like a half hearted apology for being closed and not having more staff as their employee for the day had to leave even though their door states winter is their busiest season. While I understand things can happen, a courtesy text or call would've been appreciated after they had to close. They did have my information because I had a scheduled appointment I personally booked with my cell phone number. I had to call to find out that they were closed early because there was no sign on the door. I gave an honest review of what my experience with the business was like in the events of yesterday Dec 2nd. I even originally gave 3 stars for my review because I had been a past customer and had enjoyed my time there painting with family. While I spoke honestly about my experience I don’t believe the owner liked that and took it overly personal because I received a text message from her after I posted a review on yelp saying my review was an attack on her business and that she had no desire to accommodate my party or myself going forward. That was surprising and pretty upsetting as we had no issues prior with the business. I have been going to this business since back in 2015 prior to the new owner purchase of the business and enjoyed going there to paint with family and the service was good and the employees were nice and friendly. I feel if she would've reached out to me with more compassion and courtesy versus just telling me I wasn't welcome would have had a better outcome for...

Our experience was very pleasant. I have young children we took to hang out while we waited for the snow to snow (whoever is in charge of creating snowy weather in Idyllwild is getting a one star rating this year). The prices were comparable to other places off the mountain we've been to. Staff were helpful but not overbearing, able to teach and patient with our questions. Pricing is fair, have a lot of great items to choose from, staff is always amazing, and it is just a fun time all around. My husband do this every time we come up and this year was our two daughters first time. Our youngest had fun for a bit but she is 1 years old and attentions span isn't that long so she and hubby finished then left. Our oldest daughter who is 6 had a great time painting her unicorn.
